I dinged someone else’s car while rushing to the hospital to see my mum. First time and just silly. More damage than yours. I drive a banger so I basically tried to fix myself (posted pics on here) and the other driver claimed on my insurance. Because I didn’t claim for my car I didn’t have to pay a thing, kept no claims etc. Although my renewal was 2 weeks later so my insurance went up a bit.
Obviously it’s the week for car dings. Looking for a space in a crowded area. Spot one and silly me decide to do a quick reverse to avoid a long round trip. Car behind doesnt realise and keeps driving towards me. Virtually no damage to mine but I dented his licence plate a bit. The man was alright about it and almost would have said nothing but his wife was trying it on a bit saying I reversed full speed and they were honking for me to stop. I accepted it was my fault but quickly reminded her they honked after I hit them. Anyway, I gave them my details and informed my rental company. Bank holiday here so fingers crossed I dont get a bad surprise on monday.
I may be wrong but isn’t rule of thumb that it’s the follow car at fault in rear endings, assumptions being they have either not left adequate space or read the road ahead?

Just booked out of an 813 day streak on my Estonian language app. Swapped phones and didn’t get notifications to practice 
Moving house and need to sell the wife’s bike as she doesn’t use it and we won’t have storage for it anymore so after 9 years off Facebook I’ve created an account to post it up on marketplace.
Upon creating the account the first thing the feed hits me with is a post by Rupert Lowe saying Muslims need to adhere to British culture if they want to live here. fucking depressing re-introduction to this joke of a dystopian social media hellscape.
Realise I don’t want my real name or any real details associated with this shithouse app so change my name to Greg Connery and post the bike listing.
Need to verify my identity with passport or drivers license before it will publish the listing- I realise I’ve changed my name and it won’t match the ID so go to change it back. Facebook won’t allow me to change my name within 60 days of the last change.

Not on FB and refuse to sign up just to sell stuff. Have tried a second hand sellers website but it’s full of chancers and people haggling. After a couple months of that I decided to just attach my bikr securely in the street on weekend (dropped off in the morning then collected before dark) near a busy market/strolling spot with a for sale sign, my number and a printed run down of specs and most recent repairs. Sold it within 10 days.
Maybe try that?

Put it on Olio, we’ve shifted a good amount of stuff on there.
PLUS there’s a free food section where volunteers go and collect the leftover stuff at the end of the day from Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s, etc. We always have a stacked freezer of bread and baked goods thanks to Olio.
But it’s also fucking depressing how much food is wasted and seemingly cannot be donated…

Not stoked on the lack of time. Picking up one hobby means others fall by the wayside. Music on the go feels great but art is dead right now, i’d love to be able to keep both going in tandem. I haven’t forgotten about portraits i’d asked to do, I still want to do them and will get around to them.

On holiday and 1st day it is raining. Not seen rain for what feels like months so it’s ok. Well needed.
Rain for a few hours last night. First time it’s donr that in about three months. Feels good.
Post scriptum:
Car rental are charging me 200€ for the scrape on the rear bumper. Total invoice for the damage was almost 800€!
I’m no car expert but surely the mechanic is having a laugh charging that much??
If I had run the risk of not saying anything I might have got away with only paying the repairs on the other guy’s car - which I did! 350€

I hate flying.
Qatar airways to UK, long flight. Booked extra legroom seats, 200 bucks. Get to check in, they’ve over booked my flight. It’s full. “We gave your tickets away because you didn’t reserve your seat”. Full victim blaming…
Showed them the receipt with my seat reservations. Best they can do is rebook via Melbourne and now I have an extra 4 hour layover in a 24 hour journey.
I’m hanging on for a business class upgrade but it’ll never happen.
