I used to hate all wasps until I found out that there’s some that are chill with humans and specifically kill horseflies.

Got some special ant poison granules/powder. It’s blue so really easy to see. They take this stuff to the queen and feed the larvae. Initially in 24/48 hours there’s MORE ants (they’re on the ceiling at this point, at any one time I could see 20 or so in the room) and you got to let them be - if you kill them they don’t take the poison back to the nest. This morning have noticed there’s loads of dead bodies near where they’re coming in. Can’t see any live ones. Apparently I got to wait like 10 days till I can seal up the hole and ensure nest is dead.
