Rescheduled for Friday after some hr fuck up. At least I can write a big cheat sheet out now.

hang on hang on hang on, surely you’re not meant to forcibly remove the wax from your ears?

Not generally but if there’s way too much of it then they will. Not something I’d really want to just DIY on a whim, though.

Nope, not yourself at home anyways. “Nothing put anything smaller than your elbow into your ear”

Leave it to 'ye old professionals like.

i’m in a weird mood but the elbow thing just gave me the lols

i’m really touchy about my ears. ain’t no one putting anything in the lug holes

This conversation is weird because I was asked if I could produce leads for microsuction the other day. Now I can say yes thanks to all you gammy gunged up Michael Fabricants.

I can’t vouch for it but we used to sell this. Probably useless tbh:

I had grommets in as a kid and It felt like I lived in the E.N.T. I still get a pretty bad perforated eardrum now and again which fucks my hearing up on one side, till it calms down.

i’ve got the early stages of exostosis in my left ear and am actually in full denial as I don’t like the remedies one little bit. At least they’ve moved on from using a tiny hammer and chisel that they found in a lego set. Exostosis is apparently the body’s dumbest defence mechanism.

No way so your body just decides to grow extra bones in your ear?

yep it’s like a bone blanket for your ear drum. At least where I live now the wind blows the opposite direction than in Cape Town where I first developed this - so now my right ear gets to take the brunt. It’s like rotating your wheels, I guess.

You know I’ve never rotated my wheels in like twenty plus years of skating

Just saw someone shoplifting in a food shop. I mentioned it to the woman behind the counter but no one in the shop seemed to care. There were about 5 other customers and two shop assistants. Am I going mad? The man prob in his thirties just walked up the hill

Shop assistants get paid just about enough to make it worthwhile. Possibly being stabbed isn’t worth the wage.

I worked in a shop for years, and you pick your battles with shoplifters, that’s for sure.

Yeh I used to as well and it’s given me a lot of respect for people who work in retail. It’s definitely a dilemma. I just find it a bit depressing when nothing is done about it

If he was stealing food, to survive, who would really step in?

You snitched on the guy?

Yeh

Fuck that, unless he stole like a lobster or something. Give a man a sandwich.

If a company wants to protect its bottom line then they should pay for security. If I was paid like all these “essential workers” you can guarantee I’m not doing anything that isn’t “essential work”. It’s just not worth it, they have to put up with enough shit as it is. Plus you never know the whole story like Build said.

You’re right. I don’t know his situation. This could be the only way he can eat today. It just bothered me that he did right in front of several people. I don’t know if it makes sense but I would have cared less if he’d been subtle about it. I’m also surprised that no one seems to have a problem with this
