Neil Harding, frontside air out of the Harrow Performance Bowl 1979. 14ft deep with 4 ft of vert. It was a monster.

First time I ever saw a skateboarder was at Southport slippery slopes, which was a slide park and the old snake run from the ‘70s was inside.

Dude comes rolling down, Walkman headphones on and dressed/padded like that last pic above. I must have been 5 or 6 at the time and that was the coolest thing I’d ever saw. Still quite a vivid image in my head even now.

Cheers guys, I was no Rodney Mullen but considering the equipment we had back then it was a lot of fun. My first board had clay wheels and individual ball bearings! You had to pack your wheel with grease and place each bearing in, one at a time.
