In Florence atm and met some friends at a bar and we sat and drank and watched the Olympic breakdancing, what a fucking night. They have Olympic MCs and DJs, imagine claiming that. The Lithuanian lass wore a du rag. Japan had style.

I found myself hopping between women’s basketball semi final France V Belgium and Women’s beach volleyball Canada v Brazil last night. It was pretty mental back and forth with the points.
Canada started with a healthy lead then found themselves in a point for point battle.
Basketball went into overtime due to a draw after the fourth quarter.

Putting the distance travelled in the marathon in KM is very handy. Absolutely no idea how far they have left.
A lot of it seems to come down to the International Boxing Federation. The Olympic people say Khalif is and always has been female, but the IBF say their tests showed male chromosomes, which would make Khalif biologically male. This one could run and run.

All of the arguments against her seem to come from discredited agencies with an agenda against her because she beat their boxers. She’s a woman and fully deserves her win. The comments against her are some TERF misinformation shit

Sounds like the IBF and the IOC both need to put up or shut up. If they both have test results that claim to prove Khalif’s biological sex, they should publish them and allow for independent verification by external scientists. That’s the only way to stop all the claims and counter claims,
Ok this boulder + lead thing is officially the best event of the Olympics. I absolutely love it. It has everything - superhuman skills, drama, tactics, tension. It’s brilliant.

This is not a dig at you, but it’s made from real bronze which goes green and gets a patina very quickly because of oxidation.
It’s actually cool that it’s real bronze and this happens.
I cannot believe the shocked comments from people not understanding what bronze.
