I think @sk8arrog8 is right, just reissues. Last time I saw Jeremie there wasn’t talk of relaunching the brand and if he did he’s keep it very small.

Controversial: I never understood the hype around Kyron. I’m sure he had potential but the little footage I saw of him didn’t impress me that much.

Am I missing something.

He’s been pretty unlucky so far. Would love to see him get picked up properly, always love his clips and met him a few years ago at a cliche event at ideal and he was so sound. Proper nice guy.

What do you mean by this?

Am I mistaken but didn’t he ride for nike, cliché and numbers?

Those are all fairly strong sponsors. Plus featuring in popular atlantic drift edits. Granted numbers was s flop but his signing meant he was on koston and marianos radars.

Did he get injured or complacent?

I hear a lot of praise for the guy but he’s not top tier for me. As the meme goes: Convince me.

I mean, he’s not a racehorse. I skated with his old man Jamal and held him as baby. Incredibly gifted at skating. Lovely fella. What else is there?

Is skateboarding a legit career? not sure

I meant by a board sponsor that doesn’t focus itself after 5 minutes of him being on.

Numbers seemed an incredibly honest name for that company because they were 100% doing it by the numbers. No discernible direction.

I remember having it in SS20 but cannot remember a single board graphic

They had some truly awful graphics - I recall there being a dog series that was laughably shit.

I think this was Kyron’s first pro board though which is way better than I remember it.

Numbers was absolute shite though

Funny this. I remember when their first boards arrived in my local and it was like they’d just nicked a bit whatever doing well a the time. Shovel nose (à la FA/Hockey and Quasi), Scandavian and New York riders on the team (Magnus Boderwick and Antonio), minimalistic graphics (like bad intimations of Isle, Polar, etc).

Has anyone in the past 15 years downgraded their sponsors as severely as Koston has? From peak Cratiltap (which still pretty respected even if not longer zeitgeist leading by time he left) to Numbers to Harmony Korine’s Tory donor-funded, war crime-backing, tech bro, vanity project.

In real life he’s insane, like a generational talent.

He’s abit of a jake Johnson in the sense that he’s had lots of amazing footage sprinkled in different projects over the years and collectively, its great but where the board sponsors haven’t worked out I don’t think we’ve got to see a focused collection of footage that can show just how amazing he is.

Can’t remember who told me but I think he said he doesn’t want to ride for a board company because he feels like he’s cursed and doesn’t want to send another company under. I’m sure said with some jest but maybe he’s just over trying to make it work.

This section give an idea of what we could have seen if he was a on company that would give him that chance to fly about and put together something that really shows off what he can do.

If I recall correctly, the third to last trick (switch backtail) was done as he walked to the barbers and bumped into his mates skating. Got abit hyped and had a go on someone else’s board and knocked that out quickly.

Maybe if he was on isle during the time they filmed vase we would have got that section.

Comment above was supposed to be a response to @MaxFacePalmer not brewer.

Cheers!

I get it now.

Would of been so much more dignified staying with Crail.

Saw a comment on YouTube a few weeks back saying ‘was Koston ever good’?

Which is insane, Koston was legit the best guy in the world for a period, but no one under 30 knows that. And everyone over 30 doesn’t care anymore

Legacies are easy to squander I guess.

Are clips in that sped up? Not on some Kyron hate just looks like it.

Maybe it’s my eyes at 3am

I don’t wanna argue anymore hahah

Don’t think so. I think it’s a visual side effect of the small paving stones rushing by.

Imagine showing someone Mike V now and explaining he was cutting edge at one point

The weird Temu lead singer of black flag Mike V skated?

If I was being really honest I’d say it was because I put Kyron on Supreme, but that would be far too crass. Numbers
