(I agree for what its worth, I just used plus fours as a more recognisable term, I reckon they’re more breeks and I should never have doubted yours and everyone elses’ trouser acumen)

from what i gather breeks just go below the knee and don’t stick to the 4 inch rule of the plus 2 and plus 4.

Plus fours are the more traditional garment which are fuller cut and fold over 4 inches below the knee, plus twos are the more modern equivalent and these give off a slimmer sillouette.
