Thats what I find weird. Like is Danny there casually eating an acai bowl in the corner while Bams drinking a litre of his own piss and his mates are taking a shit out of the rafters of his purple castle? Its just such a strange combo

I looked at his profile and he’s been hanging with Novak who is somber as well, just hope those closet to him can help especially when he’s got a child as well.
To be fair there’s only so much you can help with addition/mental illness, and you don’t see what happens off camera as well. Maybe they are helping
Just saw a video of him talking about wanting Dave Duncan to build a ramp, then Danny Way fly it into the air and hold a contest for the best skater in the world. Really quite sad to see, he is clearly a very unwell man.
He looked like he was doing well up until a week or two ago when he posted that video (with Andy Roy) about coming off his meds because they made him unable to skate. It’s been a very fast descent since then
If that’s the trade off I’d much rather he stayed off the board and stayed sober, healthy and alive.

Reads like he’s been cut from the new Jackass film, which you can only presume is down to the spiral in his mental health. The people he is currently surrounded by is crazy. Beaver Fleaming who seems to be some mega Christian skater, Danny Way the health nut and Andy Roy… very strange.
Yeah, plus being cut won’t help his mental health improve either. And all the (now deleted) posts saying fuck you to Jackass will not help his situation. Like it’s very unlikely to be Steve O’s decision, it’s gonna be the multi billion dollar studio Paramount making that call.
Of course. The guy hasn’t been well for a long time, and he’s a shame to see someone’s downfall be so public with social media.
Who is queuing up for a Jackass film anyway? Being fuckwitted teenagers with camcorders doing stupid shit is one thing but still doing it 25 years later in their 40s with 95% of them sober, what pranks are they going to pull? Going out for a jog with damp hair and seeing who gets a chill first?

I remember his nine club interview he talked about how seeing a teenager fuck with his middle aged parents was funny but would it be funny if he’s now in his 40’s beating up his elderly dad it’s not quite the same.
I’m a fan of Jackass as much as anyone of my age, but I thought they wrapped it up well with Jackass 3 which felt like a nice nostalgic end to the series.
I’m intrigued to see what they do in some ways, but I’d happily live without it, especially as you say, theyre all getting on a bit. Plus pop culture has moved on. I don’t want a shit Jackass 4 to ruin the memories of an otherwise well regarded series.

Not only that, but shit hits different when you’re in your late teens/early 20s than it does as you get older. I’m only 29 and my left shoulder sounds like a cement mixer and my pain threshold fucked off ages ago. I dread to think how their bodies must feel after doing some of the stuff they do, and I dread to think how many concussions they’ve racked up between them over the years, Bam more than most of them I’m sure.

I can’t help but feel that episode of Epicly Later’d put him back in the spotlight enough to lead to somewhat celebrity status again (I mean Element were re-issuing his boards by the following year) which contributed to where he’s at now.
I’m not pinning the blame on it entirely but I remember a lot of people at least thinking that episode was too soon with where he was at, recovery-wise.
He’s posted a new one today which is a lot calmer, thankfully, acknowledging his bi-polar and the fact he was manic at that point. He says he’s booked in with a doctor to start some new treatment.

Yeah saw that. Didn’t watch the TMZ video, but saw the one from today.
He needs proper, sustained help away from the spotlight, and it does feel that there’re still people around him, outside of say his wife and Jackass guys, who don’t necessarily have his best interests at heart.
