Oof that’s dark. Feel for him. You can tell he feels chewed up and spat out for the sake of entertainment. As much as I loved a lot of this back in the day, there were some things never sat right with me, like Bum Fights where they tattooed the faces of homeless people for a few dollars. Having said that, the level of entertainment seeing someone fart in johnny knoxville‘s face when he’s asleep was well funny lololol

Huh? Bum Fights was something totally different. Nothing to do with Jackass. Those guys were total fucking arseholes.

What the fuck. Thats grim.

At least Jackass never really punched down.

WTAF! For real? That’s messed up

Nordber parts ways with Flip.

To be fair, he’s managed to hang on for a while.

News that reminded me that both Nordberg and Flip exist.

Really?

Cyrus Bennett (and everyone else) off 917 since at least November via the latest episode of The Bunt.

Mad that huh. 917 have put out two great vids but it seems like a total shit show.

917 following that Numbers brand plan.

Zion off Nike:

Really surprised by this. Zion is part of the US Olympic team. Adding fuel to the Nike no longer doing standard sponsorship idea.

Edit: Zion is no longer part of the US team.

Damn that sucks to hear, love 917 and kinda liked the fact it was pretty low key compared to other brands of a similar status. Wonder where they’ll go? Max too?

Definitely been a while, it’s mentioned in the last Thrasher.

He had a small feature about him being the Olympic hopeful on Ellen the other day?! Real strange.

I always liked 917, videos were great. But it didn’t ever seem like a “real company” as the output of product was slightly too relaxed. End of Olson within the skate industry? Can’t picture him on another board brand at this point.

It didn’t really seem like he was enjoying being there for a while.

I was quite surprised when I saw him in a Nike ad for that canvas blazer type shoe recently.

Love Cyrus skating, say he’s one of my current favourites but fucking hell that Bunt was hard work. Made it through about 15 mins and had to turn it off.

Him and Max to Isle would be ultimate power move

I get what you mean about it not seeming like a “real company”, the videos were great, but they never seemed to have much presence anywhere else. But then I always assumed that was just that I wasn’t paying attention.
Is Bianca Chandon still going? Did Alex Olson spread himself a bit too thin trying to run two companies at the same time.

Insta still active with new stuff as of 5 days ago

Think 917 was never really on the cards and just AO just kinda stumbled into it. BC was always his goal and not really have a skate focus but saw some success with it thought running a luxury clothing brand is the same as running a skate company.

He should’ve handed over the torch to Logan Lara on 917, if he was down to put the work in 917 could’ve felt like more of a thing.
