From my understanding, you can still be part of “team USA” and not be one of the selected people for the Olympic event.

Yeah I don’t get this. That whole piece is total bollocks. He isn’t heading for the Olympics. The US team managers talk about dropping people because of their rankings in that Berrics video.
Edit: also that Ellen piece is also from February isn’t it?! I have lost all sense of time.
I’m sure there are some people out there signed up to the whole national team thing with zero intention of competing. But the benefits are worth it…
Flip does something good for the first time in about 15 years.
Well, what do juneau…so they have.
There was some concerning accusations by people on slap who have been around him, saying he racially abused a south american skater at a local park, and casually drops the n-bomb into conversation. It’s slap, so perhaps should be taken with a pinch of salt, but disappointing nonetheless.
He’s gonna have a shit time on Flip if he doesn’t like South Americans.
I reckon I would actually like his skating if he was rocking those fat boys
Good move from Globe if so.
That’s just your Opinion
Very nice
Didn’t think Flip was one of his Former sponsors
Just had a look on the Globe site and Id probably wear the skate chelsea boots
It was between globe and vans, he got on globe by a close shave.
I guess he’d have more creative control at Globe. Could he turn it into a cool fashion brand you reckon?
I could picture him being into quite a few of their shoes having just looked at their recent models, I’d like to see one similar to his Habitat shoe. I thought they brought back the Chet Thomas ones as some kind of super limited thing but it seems like they’re sticking with them now, odd!
Doubt it, Globe is absolutely enormous. It’s been going since 1984, they distribute Stüssy and Obey in Australia and they own DSM so they make a lot of skateboards.
I could be wrong too, this is already the most I’ve thought about Globe for ten years.
Can’t remember what the occasion was in 2011.
I meant compared to Vans. He’d probably be the highest profile rider so could potentially shape the skate program more than being Vans pro-flow.
Who else skates for Globe? Appleyard? Haslam?
