I don’t really deal with the team. I hate having a company, I don’t like it. It sucks. I’m over it. I’d leave everything at a second-hand store if I could, and you can buy them all [laughs]. I dunno – it’s not fun, I don’t enjoy coming into an office.
There’s nice parts, obviously – the validation of your creation, that’s always nice. But it’s not the must fulfilling thing, I’ll tell you that much. I’ve achieved what I’ve wanted to achieve, if you know what I mean? It was never about money – it was about creating something and getting accolades for that work. No, I just create everything by myself – but I have a team of people over in LA to help with stuff over there. But it’s one of those things – it’s challenging every season: you don’t know what’s going to sell or not. Fashion is a tough business, and it’s not really a glamorous business either.

It’s kinda like a group effort about who gets put on the team and who goes about doing what – there’s no one person running 917. But there is a team manager and filmer and editor called Logan, who does all of that.

Essentially saying he didn’t realise it wasn’t for him till it’s too late. May sound like a dick but I admire the honesty. Saying that it’s not gonna stoke your team out reading that either. AO never seems to be in to anything for too long.

At the Cherry premiere at the Prince Charles I found myself dying for a piss as the film ended. Legged it to the gents and the only urinal left was the middle one where I found myself sandwiched between AO and Dylan in full flow.

Didn’t help as they were having a conversation and I just sort of appeared in the middle. I was with @tomgnargore who saw what was gonna happen as we entered the gents and darted into the cubicle which left me in the predicament.

While losing your four staple riders (originally Nik and Vince, now Cyrus - and also Max by the sound of it) pretty much seems the death knell, its worth nothing three of the kids in this are hooked up by 917 (Joseph, Kyle and Patrick).
Granted, they maybe aren’t well known enough to carry the brand in a similar fashion right off the bat. But they’ve just come on people’s radar and have the potential to be great and seem like an obvious choice to restructure 917 with.
That said, I feel the whole “Most Productive Crew” was intrinsic to the company’s success/impact anyway so I don’t know how well it could continue without that. It’s like Workshop post AVE and Dill, on a smaller scale.
Also, if you can’t hang onto you’re riders when most of them live in the same city as where the company is based, I don’t know how well you’d manage it when they’re on the other side of the country…

Looking at the world rankings, Zion is a lowly 72nd for street 41st for park. It’s unlikely he’ll go to the Olympics, unless he gets top 3 at the World Championship event (if this even goes ahead).
