Wonder how many of our skate hero’s would of been “cancelled” if social media was about then…

Or pop/rock stars/bands etc.

Waiting for so many groups and artists to be cancelled once homophobia and sexism is really examined in music.

I think as a genre, hip hop is overdue a look into its use of derogatory language. But there’s a myriad of reasons behind that that I’m not smart enough to understand

Is Andy Roy cancelled yet?

Thing is, everyone has redeeming features so a full cancel on everyone may not be completely fair, that said, many people’s crimes are not redeemable at all even if part of the person is likeable in whatever ways. It’s a dangerous concept. Makes me think of the whole M Gira thing.

Andy Roy should cancelled.

Is he still on Anti Hero or did they let him go quietly?

It’s rarely done fairly though is it, it’s just out with the pitchforks and shout louder and louder until the person loses their job. It doesn’t seem to matter that some people have killed themselves over this sort of thing either.

Tupac did time for sexual assault.

Chris Brown beat up Ri Ri and is still a massively successful ‘artist’ with millions of fans.

How come some people get cancelled and others don’t?

Yeah, it’s never straightforward.

Whether or not the Nyjah allegations are true or not, I’m surprised someone in his position on Nike, even within the limited scope of mainstream skateboarding, doesn’t have a PR person doing his social channels. For example, the girl doing the shoe shot on his page is 18 (Yeah I clicked her profile, I’m bored) and the legal drinking age in the USA is 21. He’s 25. That’s the sort of thing that could trip some people up…

Oh damn that chick was 18? So hard to tell age when you’re an old ass man. But yeah you’re right he shouldn’t be blatantly doing shots with someone underage (although he could argue she didn’t drink alcohol and just drank monster energy out of a shoe)

Longest contract negotiation of all time?!

Hahaha – thought that had already happened.

Tony Hawkins was such a ‘no way!’ They kept it quiet, no rumours, nothing.
For Reynolds it’s like ‘yeah, we know’.

Maybe he was never on and it was a clever plan by him, if he posted enough footage on social media and enough kids showed interest and started bugging Vans about when his shoe is coming out? Then they’d eventually have to put him on!

Finally signed off the adoption papers.

Reynolds continues to get better and better. When you consider the other big names from the same era, like Koston, Muska, Rowley etc etc Reynolds has really stayed relevant and interesting. Proper skate rat vibe.

Chris Coles back on Zero, not perticularly surprised after getting back with Fallen.
