There’s no connection between Juve and Palace, it’s weird and the day glo yellow looks shit, but it’s just nothing to get angry over. Just laugh at those spending £160 on a football shirt and move on.

At the end of the day palace is now a fashion brand that does skateboarding. They’re gonna do what they want as it only really sells to hypebeasts who don’t care.
Skating is being sold out to the max right now and there ain’t much we can do till the Olympics sham is done and the hype dies like Epstein.
I’m not a football fan , hate knuckle dragging racist supporters and I don’t like the association either , but unless football is banned as a kid across the world it’s always gonna be in the background. Is what it is unfortunately

That’s fine, but they are still a skate brand in the UK and shops still stock their decks. They have a trickle down impact, like it or not, on UK skateboarding.
Could be worse, could be selling scooters and blades in those shops too

I think that’s another side to it too…skate shop owners are mostly (for want of a better word) ‘core’ so selling scooters/blades is a no-no. Selling Palace is kind of in the same ballpark for a lot of people I have spoken to. Kids love Palace and so the decks sell, but it feels bad paying invoices to a company that first took away all its profitable lines from core shops and secondly proceeded to sell out skateboarding through the most crass and commercial route possible - by licensing their ‘legit skateboard brand’ image to adidas to do what they want with.
Yeah Palace’s legitness has gone up and down with the indoor park obviously being a high point…but this…nah.

Imagine if your only info on skaters were Gator, Neal Hendrix, Jason Jessee, Ali Boulala, Cory Kennedy, Hosoi, Tas and Ben Pappas? Tony Hawks private million dollar ramp, the film Kids about skate culture and back issues of Big Brother mag?
Skateboarding would still look way cooler and less rapey than football. What’s your point?

I’m just waiting for the ultimate irony that Ice Hocky, Wrestler Mike V is Ultimatelad’s fav skater, haha.
Don’t forget that there is a side to football culture where Dad’s and Grandad’s bond with their offspring over the game, taking them to matches. The elation that they share is real even if you don’t get the same and don’t understand it.

I think that’s where I really hit peak hate for football. Don’t mind it now.
I have never been to a proper football match personally even though I played Sunday league before skateboarding. Parents were not interested in it. Always been music in my family.
But I can’t ignore that other families have football as a good part of their lives.
Time slows down when football’s on - Those 90 minutes feel like 90 hours. Fuck me football is boring to watch but good to work on (For the tele, CMOAC)
