Apple and Spotify are about the same, I find Apple easier to share playlists with friends, ect and maybe a little faster? But I don’t know if that’s just in my head?
I’ve been with Spotify for ages, but may give Apple Music a whirl on a free trial
I still buy music on CD
Bit late for you to be up isnt it Grandad?
Gucci collab happening this season apparently… film/lookbook shot in Venice
I sold all my CDs about 15 years ago

I thought it was a sure thing I would, but £35 quid is a bit steep for a book I’ll flick through once blowing extra air out of my nose a few times.
Is it? Most skate books are £35-50, no? Some are more…
Palace killing it and having a laugh whilst doing it as usual. Maybe this could give Gucci the kick up the arse it’s been needing for a while now…probably not though.
£35 not £40, right?
Seems to be the going rate for hardback, limited books and half the price I reckon they could have put it out for…
I feel like if it wasn’t Palace, no one would give a fuck…By comparison, Jason Dill’s photography book is about £75.
I’ve never worn anything Palace or Gucci but that Italy football shirt is properly, properly nice.
Yeah, I think we’ve all had many a sleepless night worrying over the current state of the Gucci brand.
Im just glad we’re finally talking about it in the open
Respect Palace massively and of course they’re gonna keep rolling with it but at this point the endless high profile collabs to me just feel diluted at this point, almost like they are the ‘cool brand for hire’ to these big companies. At first the big collabs were generally surprising but at this point just feel repetitive
Would’ve been so much cooler if they just peaked at the Polo Ralph collab and just kept their brand separate
Yeah I get you
That’s not quite what I meant though.
It’s just in recent years there has been a noticeable and fairly dramatic increase in supposed luxury brands, Gucci and LV being prime examples, churning out a huge number of accessible products like belts, wallets, T shirts and those fucking bee shoes etc. All of that stuff looks to me like cheap market stall rip-offs. They tend to be being worn by, for want of a better description, townie chavs. Who I imagine think that they look affluent and successful but the effect is the total opposite. They think they’re rocking something akin to Hermes but actually it looks more like Sports Direct, thereby totally devaluing the brand. It makes it look wack and undesirable to anyone with a clue. Having said that, I think that as a brand they’re probably raking it in but are just losing their traditional customer base, (I know, get your violins out). At least having Palace associated with it makes it sort of interesting , if only temporarily.
It was really just an observation, I don’t actually care. My wife on the other hand would like to dig out some of her vintage Gucci and Vuitton clothes/ luggage but feels that she’ll get lumped in with the social media victim masses if she does. It’s not that it’s a major issue though. Proper first world problems and all that. No-one’s losing any sleep over it ![]()
The Palace-Gucci advert screamed ‘we’re the edgy skate brand come to raise your street cred’. In fact, that seemed the explicit joke at points. All felt a bit tired.
