Palace thread

Someone recently stole my Gucci wallet. Hopefully there’s one in the collection.

Lucky they didn’t take the Rolex!

I don’t know what it’s like in the UK right now but over here LV seems to be all the rage with streetwear stuff. Wouldn’t be surprised if what happened to Burberry with the caps etc happened to them. I’m in the middle of the city though so maybe it’s just the bougie crowd.

When this type of high end bollocks gets announced I always think ‘fuck it, I might treat myself’, then I see the prices.
A grand for a white hoody I’ll just get bean juice down.

Looks like it all came from a real fake market in Turkey and worn by people who steal space raiders from the local shop

None of that is for me I’m afraid, but I’m pretty sure I’m not the target market anyway haha

I don’t think anybody on here is the target market for that stuff

Regardless of the clothes/prices etc, the sight of the old Waterloo Palace and Lucien mary poppins-ing down over a Gucci party in the vid got a huge laugh from me, so the collab is a complete success imo

Same as the CK collab, but I could actually afford that haha.

£1k for a pair of Italian shoes ok I get that, makes sense. £500 for a beanie, jog on.

Also, that checkered shirt with the blue dragons on the arm is one of the most hideous things I have ever seen.

Zip up with the black panther is sick

The video was amazing! Palace continue to go from strength to strength. They collection is not my cup of tea (to put it nicely!) and I can’t afford any of it anyway!

$1690. How far things have come from the £85-hoodie-gate of 2011!

Back in the days when N26 shit talking could still elicit a response from Lev himself

Funny to go back and read that over 10 years later!

Hmm, I think it’s fair to say that changed!

I’d disagree I’d say they’ve stayed true to themselves and still make stuff that they want to wear it just so happens that what they want to wear is trendy so means fashion people want to wear it. Never felt that they put anything out they’re not actually in to as a cash in, they’re just having fun with it.

Have been thinking over the weekend about the future of Palace and where they can go from here and really can’t think. They’re way too big and support way too many people for them to just peace out and pull the plug whilst they’re ahead (which in many ways would be the ‘cool’ thing to do) but once Lev decides to step down I can’t see the brand continuing as he’s so much the voice and is so much a part of the brands identity. But then also couldn’t see them selling the brand off to investors either. Compared to Supreme for example which can kinda continue indefinitely as they’ve never really had much of an identity and designers and directors could change without it really being noticeable.

I’d agree with the latter and I actually think it’s pretty fun to watch it all play out even if I’d also agree that they’re becoming ‘cool brand for hire’ now as you said.

Not sure any of them were into Crocs though.
