Screenshot for all its glory. Such style so early on. I remember seeing loads of photos of Tom skating minis during the early 90s.
Whenever their were comp articles it was always the same few names placing which made you see hoe tight the uk skate scene was back then.

I remember I got my mum to buy me one of those New Deal hats because of these photo’s. I also got a purple New Deal Vallely deck and sanded the graphics off.

Couple of Penny stories from Bam here, starting at 1:25. Young me might’ve heard the first story (fs flip the corridor handrail) and thought cool, he’s so spaced, he just doesn’t care, what a dude. Older me thinking, damn alcoholism and substance abuse, that really doesn’t sound great.

I’m calling bs on Bam filming the San Dieguito Rail tricks (fs flip over the rail at night) and I’ve heard that story about Penny before not knowing he had landed a trick and it was the kickflip over the rail in the Welcome to Hell friends section, from more reliable sources.

I was a bit skeptical about that. San Dieguito rail session would’ve been maybe 95, Bam would’ve been 16 then? A 16 year old out-of-towner as principal filmer on the session with Penny? Hmm.
I thought rowley or bowman filmed it?
I was in Oxford Sun/Mon, never been before and taxi drove past the court steps/rails. Got a little flutter. Never usually get that with spots or anything but it was weird to see.
