Oh shit! This looks good

Great to hear the word ‘Kev’ put into use.

In reference to Channer disappearing too, lol, pretty much the least white shirt guy ever.

From the little I know, Mark never cared about skate fame and evidently realised that having a job with prospects trumped being on the dole with free trainers which, to be honest, was the reality of top tier UK sponsorship in that era.

[/cmoac] the Frank Stephens comment re picking music for your own parts that Greg Serious Adult (what’s his @ on here?) refers to in this was actually:

“You wouldn’t go to a party wearing other people’s clothes” which I thought was amazing.

Second cmoac - I didn’t film any footage for Unapromo - didn’t even own a video camera at that point.

Our skate education was paltry compared to yours and Ry’s. I listened this morning and kept catching myself thinking ‘Ben would know the answer to that’.
Ahhh wish I remembered the proper frank quote. Was it on here that you dropped it?

Was a really fun two hours though. Hope you guys enjoy

Yeah man
I think we might’ve had the Frank convo in real life at that pub in Smithfield (Bishop’s Finger?)

Ahh yeah, I remember now. Wish I’d come through with the actual quote on the pod.

In reference to channer/white shirt. I just meant we’ve all had mates that get past school/college age and are quite ready to dive into the world that becomes available outside of skating: pubs, jobs, girlfriends etc

Yeah I wasn’t criticising the white shirt comment mate - it was funny (and true).

Scared of respite, despite dan being on his best behaviour

Definitely went skating with Channer after he disappeared, can’t quite remember when, I think it was early 2010s? Or maybe late 00s. We were around swiss cottage I think, maybe a road gap? Irish Steve and maybe @Londonskater in attendance.

Yeah me too - I only mean ‘disappeared’ in a sponsored sense.
He used to skate parks with Styley on the regs up till 2012 ish and was still amazing.
He turned up at my wedding randomly

Magee is a bit of an over thinker, like most of us. ‘It was secretly made by Manzoori and filmed with the help of Ben!’ Haha… I bet he has loads of these theories about U.K. skating and who was really involved in the background of things and I’d love to hear them all.

I remember it being said that Unabomber was Sidewalk’s board brand too which was funny and totally untrue other than Harry and Jonny Robbo having lived with Horsely beforehand.

enjoying the Serious Gregult and Mr Magee episode. deffo making me laugh, and more focus on skate minutiae, in contrast to the wide-scoped Beeps and Ry ones.
more!

These guys are killing it with the guests, wish they were a little more skate nerdy but maybe it’s kinda nice to have something different from The Bunt

Not a podcast, but not sure where else to share this. Spoof adverts sound like a GTA radio station.
Very rare, sophisticated adult entertainment, collect etc

Daewon and Lee Smith in the same week was a treat.
stoked TPudz was able to sit back and let DWS chat, and hearing Lee echoe Beep’s point about 60/40 being an frontrunner to Menace was nice

also, funny parallel - DWS mentioned the prime World era only lasted a couple of years; Lee mentioned the EMB period was a similarly short timespan - yet their (overlapping) impact on skating was huge
