Yeah I started because I wanted to hear Heath but then gave up because all I seemed to be hearing was Ellis.
Mentioned this in another thread but worth watching it instead for Heathās face and general demeanour doing something he very clearly doesnāt want to do.
Recently listened to these again, good stuff.
Mullered through this yesterday.
Looking Sideways did podcast for Skin
Just started listening
Looking Sideways is a āboard sportā podcast but the skate ones are always worth a listen. But this one with Skin Phillips is really good. I thought this guy was still in the US working for Adidas but turns out he had to come back to Wales after dealing with some mental health issues.
Great mindsā¦
Crazy this one.
The demise of Transworld from its peak is hard to comprehend now but, 'One minute itās worth $300 million dollars and the next, itās worth nothing."
His stories about his diagnosis are really harsh to listen to but massive props to him for speaking about it all.
Keen to check this one out. Enjoyed the 9 Club one he did.
Skinās back in Swansea and seems to be doing tidy recently, been good to see him at local gigs and chilling out with the mukkas. He randomly gave me a sequence of Tony Hawk he shot back in '91 after we left his house after a few beers haha. Love it.
Would love to get him out to shoot some photos at some point.
Seconded. It sounds as though heās building up some confidence now which was good to hear.
Only halfway through this. Nothing very special or new so far but the Ratt is always interesting to listen to.
Been waiting for this to come out for a while.
Jamie Blair, 70s/80s Scottish ripper and owner of Clan Skates in Glasgow talks Scottish skate history with equal OG Ray Dower (possibly a member of Uncle John and Whitelock if my memory is right - @buildafire ?) and cameo from Mr Rattray - should be ace but not listened yet.
ah, cheers for the heads up - iād never heard of this one
Yep, Ray was the bass player, and absolutely rules as a person. Had some photos from the Dundee park around '89 or '90 and he drew Alex Moulās popcorn graphic.
Dead interesting. Talks skate urbanism but also his career.
I have an iPhone but have no apps on it. Hereās the YT link for those who donāt have Apple Podcasts.
Best podcast Iāve listened to in a while, and Chicoās Nine Club episode was pretty good too!
