Needs more humbuckers

I do all mine too.
The nut was the original plastic one and perished to the point that it snapped when I tried stretching a string.
Planned to replace with a tusq nut anyway so no problem.
Grade 0000 the fretboard and lemon oiled it.
There’s a nylon washer in the g tuning key that has perished too so I need to replace that.
It kept loosing tune so I inspected it and found that’s probably the reason.
Nut would also help hold tune too.

Nice one. fun stuff. It’s always the G string that is the worst to keep tune, no idea why, there must be a reason, maybe it’s the most bent string in typical use in guitar based songs, which makes sense if you think about it.

Those washers are really hard to get if you want them from a specific guitar parts manufacturer but I’ve found that they are likely to be the same as nylon washers in plumbing kits.
Size is M8.
Cost a couple of quid only so no great loss if I’m wrong.

I have a big box of random parts and whatnot so if you’re stuck post a pic and i’ll see if I have one to send you.

Little white nylon washer beneath the tuning button.

I have some odd tuners so i’ll take a look.

It’s a Grover Rotamatic.
Not sure that they’re specific to these tuners.

You can see them here.

I usually use Schaller but have some Gotoh too, I think they are all pretty universal regarding things like washers like this but i’ll see.

Bit of a wait if you’re needing UC.

500,000 people trying to apply at once.

Busier than ever. Work in transport so I’m a key worker. Haven’t been on shift yet this week but last week our volumes were 40% higher than Christmas week. Tesco still laying on orders for absolutely shitloads of flowers for Easter. I’m talking full lorry loads of just flowers, which we all think is horrendously irresponsible but it’s what our business makes most of its money off. Aldi are being the worst in terms of rejecting product for asinine reasons. 7 pallets of fresh turkey and chicken rejected at the weekend “not ordered”, 14 pallets rejected last Thursday “printing error with product code”. Makes me sick thinking how much good food has gone to waste at this time because of some jobsworth at a supermarket distribution centre. Morrison’s and Sainsbury aren’t as bad but are still being strict with their intake hours so have had stuff rejected for late arrival too.

Edit: Mrs works in a nursery; she was deputy manager but was going to be moved up while the manager was on maternity leave. So now she’s started her acting manager’s position early and someone’s been promoted to acting deputy. Other than those two and the two owners, everyone else in on the government 80% thing until further notice. Her hours have been cut from 39 to about 32 a week just to get her over that 80% stay-at-home threshold. Also they’ll be closing during the school holidays which she normally works and at the moment it looks like all that will be unpaid too. It’s not too bad though, to be fair.

I c a hear kids out playing on the street near my house.
There are a few people wandering about as normal.

My wife works for Pallet Force and they have gone bananas too.

Working in transport here too. Lots of last minute jobs and cancelations. Dealing with those RDCs for Tesco/Amazon/Argos is a right pain. Amazing what they will just reject for no good reason! Amazing what customers will class as “essential goods”.

This is the catch 22 I find myself in. I don’t want to put posties and delivery drivers under added stress or in more contact than they have to be with Joe Public, but the economy really needs people spending still (skate shops, ect).

More that one of our big customers makes plastic bins/washing up trays/baskets etc. They consider themselves essential because they supply supermarkets!?!
