Had to look this up, but am glad I did.
Fantastic - thank you.
Yeah man it’s really sick
The cricket game on the Google Doodle today is pretty addictive stuff!
I went full Ben Stokes.
Idiot snails never put in a silly mid-on. Milked then relentlessly for twos.
77 is my best effort so far, keep getting caught out by the snail’s demon fast balls! Yh, it’s addictive for sure ha.
I’ve not gone past the 70s either, I’ll persist though!
children in my school having a how many people can we fit on a sofa challenge at break time this morning, idiots.
Even more pointless/random, spoke to Mike last night, when he Facetimed Leo Sharp while we were skating the local car park. Haven’t spoken to him in at least 15 years!
Missed playing around mixing more than I ever have recently.
I have Traktor and 1 solitary turntable that I can’t find a second matching one for anywhere.
Decided to look at controllers and the Traktor S4 is drawing me in.
It has inputs for the turntable too so I can include the dvs stuff I have.
I think I’ve decided it’s going to happen.
Same thing as with most others that I end up getting, I fancy it and the more research I do, the more I’m convincing myself that it’s going to happen.
Sold my turntables a few years back. I have all this early dubstep vinyl sitting around and nothing to play it on. I should really sell that too
I sold all my old jungle vinyl spanning years when I moved to Sweden because I had to lighten my load.
Sold them to a mate who I’d jointly collected with for years for 150 quid.
He messaged me the other day with his discogs profile.
Some of those tunes alone now were listed at around 200 quid.
I didn’t realise the rarity of many of them at the time.
Sum total at base value is 3k.
Sum total at highest was over 10k.
Did he give you any share of it? Just out of painful interest, what was in the collection?
Sold one of my 1200s to one of Twitch’s mates for £100 when I was married to my first wife, miserable, in danger of being evicted and needed money for drink. Could have secured myself an oil tanker of Frosty Jack’s with that but I spent about half of it in the first pub I passed on the way to the bus stop home. Oh well. Any decent bar has got turntables anyway.
I’ve got one of these, not proper ‘playing out’ gear but fun, may satisfy your DJ cravings. It’s fairly small, runs off a phone + app
He has them still.
So in a way its nice to know that the guy I grew up DJ’ing and shopping with has brought both collections together and I I know they’re looked after.
Loads really.
What’s that one there then?
Is it a Pioneer?
Going by the platter style it looks like it is.
Definitely heading down the Traktor S4 route.
I like Native Instruments.
send us a list if you can be bothered, might be up for grabbing some bits off you if you’re selling!
If you know your stuff go for it, this is a Pioneer DDJ 200, at the bottom end of the scale but works well for in the house once you get used to it
I got one of these a few days ago. Had to save up ages but it’s got 4 channels and no need for a laptop. Really pleased with it so far
Hit go on the Traktor S4 controller this morning.
Already having Traktor vinyl and turntable means I can just integrate it all together.
