Hmm, apparently it was ‘Go Skateboarding Day’ yesterday.
Did anybody notice? I guess coronavirus ruined most of the mass gatherings & events there usually is.
Edit: Noticed a lot of people turned up to the Push for Peace thing in San Diego. It’s for a great cause and everything but I still feel uneasy seeing so many people so close together, even if they are wearing masks…
For the past couple of weeks there’s been a VWPolo full of lads that parks outside the shops here and they hang around for a bit.
Can tell when they arrive because of the fart cannon exhaust system.
Than is an annoyance in itself but this afternoon they were playing bass heavy music loudly, again, it’s daytime so not much bother.
I put my kids to bed earlier and shortly after they pulled up and started with the music again.
It’s warm, so I’ve got my windows open and frankly, it’s noise I don’t need.
Eventually it bothered me so much I walked over and the driver was sat there with his door open.
As I approached I said, “I really don’t want to be a killjoy but I’ve got kids in bed just there”.
I suppose my reasonable approach helped because it was met with an apology and them just having left.
I like loud music and understand that at their age they probably don’t understand keeping kids asleep so I couldn’t be all instant aggressive about it, plus that’s not me anyway.
Sure I will see them over that way again and will probably take the time to acknowledge them with a hello or something.
