I have no clue which way all your moral compasses are going to be facing from one day to the next, haha.

I do agree it’s a hard situation because I’m in the same boat when it come to sexism, racism, homophobia etc and with that, like Mick said, do we edit most rap/grime etc or delete them completely?

Watching Rush Hour with Jackie Chan and Chris Rock recently and there’s a bit where Jackie Chan, playing the foreigner in LA, says “What’s up my n******!” to a black guy and a fight starts. Made for a good time/example to explain to my son what the word meant, context, racism, etc. Half the time, kids don’t know what they’re saying, just that they heard somebody else say it and therefore it’s fine, like the time I called a stand in teacher in 2nd class a wanker, not knowing the meaning. Better off explaining to kids what’s going on rather than keeping everything a secret.
A novelty Christmas song, written as a bet seems an odd hill to want to die on but okay.

I’d argue that Michael Fabricant is a sexist slur. It really bugs me when people call Trump or whoever a Michael Fabricant. My wife gave birth to our daughter through hers. It’s a fucking incredible thing and should be given credit as such, not as supposedly the ‘worst’ word you can use.
It means ‘person’ in Scotland and Australia.

Art, slang and freedom of speech should be protected but each instance should be looked at separately, history, context, need of usage all considered.
Fairytale is art and it’s conveying a story from a time using characters less than perfect. Imagine if we had to sit through a film where everyone was squeaky clean.
It’s our job as people to know and teach anyone that does not know, the meaning and reason for usage of the offending parts.
