First one: ‘let’s stand up to illigals’

The guys Facebook feed is as you would expect. These people fucking love racist memes made using MS Paint. The shoddier the meme the more they love it.

I’d rather give the vote to badgers.

U h8ing on Ms Paint, bro?

Big Lez Show wants a word.

I don’t understand how Strobeck and co. are seemingly on a skate trip in Italy. The country has just entered another lockdown but they’re out and about skating…

How were they allowed into the country and not forced to quarantine/self isolate?

This isn’t so much intended as a polemic, but rather, a genuine question about how they’re managing to make it work.

Athlete job pass?

Might as well ask Get Lesta, etc the same fucking question. Pisses me off to no end.

Edit: I mean in relation to lockdown rules and them swanning off to every corner of England as they please.

Has anyone cooked a proper Thai style curry? I’m pretty decent at cooking but I can’t seem to produce a tasty red curry which I’m actually proud of. Must have followed about 25 separate recipes through the years and still can’t get one that is even remotely close to what you might get even at a bang average Thai restaurant here.

Are you adding much lemon grass? Try a squirt of sriracha to liven it up.

I love Thai food and have tried no end of recipes for various different meals. They’re edible but not great. Dunno why it’s so difficult

It’s all about the fish sauce, lemon grass And the sugar . Get those right and it’s bang on .
A good curry paste too. Not one that’s in a jar but a packet . Like this has.

Story of my life. I love Thai food and love cooking but can’t cook a curry that feels like a proper Thai one. I’ve been to many great Thai restaurants where I watched how everything was made but I just can’t do it like they do. I’ve been considering attending a Thai cookery class just for those fucking curries, haha.

Ahhhhh yeha I’m always using crappy English ingredients. Clearly I need something I can’t read the label for :joy:

Sod a forum skate trip, we need a forum Thai cooking class

Yeah there’s These ones you can get in Tesco , they’re good.

Be warned tho they’re loaded with chillies so if you can’t bare them go easy. And use full fat coconut milk.

Avoid Tesco and get to an Asian supermarket. It’ll be cheaper and waaaaay better. I worked at a Chinese restaurant for years and you can get all the genuine sauces and pastes they use for a fraction of what youd pay in Tesco.

Get some Jimmys Satay sauce because its the greatest thing ever. Stir it into some rice as youre frying it, bit of turmeric, handful of peanuts right at the end and youre laughing.

Photo of my lunch yesterday for proof

Definitely all in the quality of the paste in my experience. Once we started going to Asian supermarkets the taste difference was like night and day.

There’s one in Camden that has two isles just for ramen. It’s so rad. Every time I go there I get at least 10 new ones I’ve never tried before, plus a multipack of these badboys:

Really spicy but I cook it without much water so it’s not so soupy, crack an egg into it once it’s all cooked and mix it through. Goopy deliciousness. Fucking love ramen.

There’s a Korean shop across the road which sells the world’s best Korean fried chicken sauce too. If I feel lazy I get some boneless chicken from KFC and have it with rice and that sauce.
