Worst skateboard collection ever, imagine having to buy all the Supreme decks for all time to keep it up to date no matter what shit they put out!
What’s wrong with that though? You get completists in everything.
The sheer unending grinding grief of having to buy every single one. I also don’t think Supreme really do much other than feature artists you know from other places…they don’t do anything really original. It’s not for me, but each to their own.
There’s a guy out there building the world’s greatest skateboard collection. He’s an ex-pro poker player who become a crypto multi millionaire. He’s offered people $1,000,000+ for complete collections and in the last year he’s pulled together the greatest stash of decks anywhere on the planet. That’s much more interesting to me!

That sounds lame as fuck. Like Martin Shkreli buying that Wu album. Some mega-rich twat deciding he wants a collection of boards and he wants the biggest collection of boards and he wants it now. Guy sounds like a total dick. You see that happening with records nowadays too, people trying to invent a personality for themselves by splashing out stupid money on shit they know nothing about.
Taking the time to build a collection yourself would be way more fulfilling. The guy you mention won’t have the world’s greatest skateboard collection, he’ll have a garage full of the boards people sold him because he’s a clueless wank. Bobshirt > some crypto-millionaire ballbagging.

How does he even know what the boards are? He sounds like a dick. If he’s doing some sort of ‘We buy any collection, big or small, best prices in the area’ thing he’ll end up with all the Chad Fernandez boards he deserves.
Imagine somebody accidentally sold him something good, something that somebody who cares about skateboarding would like for their wall. It’ll be lost forever in a massive pile of crap.

He’s not doing that at all. He approached SMO the guy with the best collection on the planet with the $1,000,000 offer and he has acquired decks from McKee and Cliver at the kind of prices they deserve for what they have. At the end of the day, you can hang onto these things forever or you can sell them, your choice. He knows what he’s buying that’s for sure.
