Maybe save up some holiday or weekend time and spend it trying out new professions (like school work experience)? I’ve been thinking about moving to a trade from an office job and it makes sense the only way to really know what it’s like is spend a few days with someone who does it, helping out and asking questions?

Yeah I have considered a trade. Weirdly tiling keeps cropping up in my head. And one of my good friends is a plumber and could certainly give me some experience to see how I find it. Feels a bit overwhelming the thought of it but some short term pain could be worth it cause I can’t do this forever, it’s driving me mad!

Each to their own but I’d rather have a job that made sense and made me feel useful even if it means working during the weekend every once in a while than having a 9 to 5 that made me feel empty on the daily.

I can’t complain about having an irregular work schedule, mine is pretty decent for a social worker but I also have to say I really enjoy having free time while most people are working. Having a good skatepark to yourself on a Tuesday morning beats going to the pub on a Friday eve any day but then again I’m 42. Oh and fuck food shopping on a Saturday.

I think for me I’ve done the working weekends etc. left school at 16 and did 17 years of working 5 days over 7 and mostly weekends. Worked for my current employed for 2 and a half years and weekends off have been a huge positive for me. It’s all just thoughts right now, I’m sure I would change my mind on it for the right job, just haven’t got a clue what that could even begin to look like at the moment.

Apart from the current role in sales bit, this is me in a nutshell. Being 46 and not knowing what you want to do when you grow up is a bit demeaning.

It would be nice to know what I wanted to do. But I’d just be happy to do something I found more fulfilling and didn’t stress me out as much. Sales can be fun as you do get weird buzz from it. But it’s also very ego driven and competitive and overall just relentless. Where I’m at now the juice doesn’t feel worth the squeeze for how much pressure I put on myself with it and how it effects my stress levels and overall mental health. Especially when I’m not your typical minded “salesman” that’s mega stoked on sales for the sake of sales. Maybe I’m having my mid life crisis at 35?!

Went to the Skateboard exhibition at the design museum. Very clued up collection (Inc contributions from buildafire). Could have been more of it though. Ramp looked good but didn’t bring my board

It’s whippy af but fun. Not sure what to make of the vert section though…

We wish. It took a bit of smooth talking to expand it beyond the design of skateboard hardware, and into graphics, mags and videos. Otherwise it’d just have been strangely-shaped skateboards over the years.

The spinning Lord Williams gif from 1996 and the stock garment pics with the logos plopped onto them are genius. I don’t know what this means though :man_shrugging:

Lord Williams is named as an homage to the roots and aspirations of Stevie. It represents the perfect synergy between cannabis, lifestyle and street culture. Inspired by the grit and passion of street skateboarding and cannabis from the past, this brand seeks to elevate the old school era experience to new heights.
