I’ve read the Allen Carr book and it definitely worked to help reducing the desire to smoke, I’ve still found myself being a bit of a moody prick when I’ve just come off them. For me patches seem to help there. Getting weaker and weaker ones then cutting them in half and because it’s not another habit like vaping or lozenges at some point just forgetting to bother and noticing no difference at all. I’ve quit loads of times so I really know what I’m talking about now.
Might give that book a go as that’s two people who recommended it. Cheers fellas.
Truthfully haven’t tried but know I will at some point. I think if somebody asked me for tips for quitting tabs though it wouldn’t be to vape instead. One plus admittedly was about 12 months ago pissed my vape ran out so someone gave me a fag. One drag and I was over it. Felt mega rank.
My mate quit cigs for vapes a few years back and has now recently done the opposite
Ultimately they’re both bad for you but cigs are class and you look cool smoking them so you decide
I’ll third it if it helps you give up
Good luck.
Anyone got tips for cheap ski holidays with two kids under 8? Drive or fly? Which resorts have good snow in Feb half term? Stick the kids in ski lessons or self teach? Working to a budget but really want to make it happen if possible.
Austria is good skiing and cheaper than France/Switzerland.
Recommend somewhere in Zillertail, close to Mayerhofen. Good family place, can ditch the kids in ski school and explore further afield to find some gnar.
And while you’re with the kids there are some nice long mellow slopes close to food and drinks etc, so you can make a base of operations for your family ski school.
Ordered that Alan Carr book - let’s see if it works, otherwise I’ll have to Derren Brown it like Barf suggested.
Are there any cure super fans on here? Does anyone know why they’ve never played ‘A few hours after this’ (Franklin stephens, Sidewalk in motion) live?
Its a bside on one of their singles, probably because its not so well known.
Just had new parts put in my woodburner and chimney checked and now I’m ready to burn some shit.
I need some ash removal tips. I’ll need to scoop mine because it has no tray. What do you do with it? Black bag bin it? Unfortunately I don’t have a hedge to hoof it over.
it’s pretty good fertiliser isn’t it? just chuck it somewhere where green stuff is growing
Chuck it in the wheelie bin
I’ve got an old dustpan and brush just for this. Get it in a bucket the bin it. once cold
This is what i was wondering.
Costs £50 a year for a garden waste bin with me. Resisted getting one so far.
Will get a bucket and lid and black bin bag it. Seems the easiest solution. We’re allowed 2 black bags every fortnight so hopefully I can squeeze this in.
Scatter them from an urn off a bridge whilst wearing all black
Mix with griptape filings, chop into lines, snort with mates etc
Do you have a dog bin nearby?
I don’t think so judging by the amount of filthy dog eggs I find on my road.
On the school run, drop 2 handfuls a day onto the ground out the bottom of your trousers, WW2 POW style.
