I’m a teacher and the role that’s come up is head of year, I’m going to catch up my head of year tomorrow who has become more effective as the year has gone on, see how that goes then catch up with the head of KS3 who I get on really well with.
I’d wanted to go into leading curriculum rather than pastoral, my head of department (department of 3) is retiring at the end of year after 30 years and the other in my department is doing it for the sake of continuity but doesn’t plan to do it long term, so there’s that. I’ve been there 3 years so I probably need to show abit of intent rather than stagnating
Pros of promotion:
£3k TLR, 3 hours a fortnight off timetable, no tutor group, I’ve been a house lead this year and enjoyed that
Cons of promotion:
Only 3 hours of timetable a fortnight, lots of parental communication and meetings, most of which is a petty waste of time, not sure I’m that keen on it.
Update - spoke to my head of year earlier and had some really useful input,
Just had a phone call with the head of KS3, who was encouraging.
Will put together an application tomorrow before heading to the skatepark on an early finish.
I literally can’t remember ever even using Betfair. If i set it up it would be years and years ago.
I went to betfair in my browser (obviously not clicking on anything in the email), pressed forgot my password, got a code, set up a new password etc…was easy. No mention of my account being unsuspended or anything…just a message saying back of the net. All done.
Nah, it’s just Arial Black. You can tell with the inside gaps of the S. Helvetica/Swiss have almost equal top and bottom and Arial have a smaller one on top.
