I’ve really been enjoying this new Joey Valence and Brae album the past few weeks. They wear their influences very clearly, but it never feels like a pastiche, they’ve got their own 2024 take on a specific sound.

Massive traveller funeral in town. 100’s of mourners all parked everywhere. Couldn’t get out of there quick enough before the after funeral pints start flowing in the sun.
Kinda unrelated but this Ben Myers book is worth a read, set in the North East traveller world

I got into sketching from pics I saw in skate mags. I kind of suck but it was fun, should get back into it. Every so often I get back into art but it never lasts ha. I think we may have a thread, I’ll have a look.
Yeah I’m not too good either! I’ve just tried to make myself better but never really succeed. This is one I drew in 5 mins today… I do an outline online and TRY to replicate it on paper. Never really comes back the same

The Wimbledon crowd are without doubt the second worst crowd in sport*. Makes the thing hard to watch.
*the number 1 is without any shadow of a doubt the Americans at the Ryder Cup.
Weird accusation when you’ve got football fans racially abusing players, throwing things, shining lasers, riots, fights etc
Boxing crowds can be pretty bad but surely it has to be football

Fans are the worst thing about the whole thing. I enjoy watching the odd game but the culture surrounding it spoils it. I have not watched a single game these euros.
