Search any venue on Twitter and that’s what you get now. Seems like normal accounts that have been hijacked.
I’m not sure how the mechanics of it work but they’re still going after the gig has finished.
Some of the accounts are clearly fake and some have been hacked.
Was just a bit shocked that they targeted some shit nothing gig in Chepstow Racecourse.
I would like to know how they did it because a girl in work got a profile she made for work insta-banned the moment she made it and all the subsequent ones after because I guess FB knows what device you’re on. Might hit one of thrse guys up for tips.
There are some incredible ai Facebook profiles out there.
This one for example:

I was looking for tickets to some awful goth thing and posted looking for tickets and got numerous bots sliding into my dms about tickets… it was humorous as it was quite a lot of African American profiles with the kinds of names that are not prevalent in Australia at all.
No Shaniqua Gucci Chanel, I do not believe you have tickets to sell me to see Drab Majesty.
what the fuck is shoegaze
Chapterhouse, Ride. Still a guilty pleasure.
this must be how people feel when i talk about death metal
speaking of which i’m going to see Nile on Wednesday. stoked
He’s everywhere nowadays! chikachikerin on that strat still.
You must have heard of My Bloody Valentine? Probably the most influential band on the shoegaze scene…but a bit too good to pigeonhole into that genre.
oh yeah i’ve heard of them. didn’t realise that was a specific genre but i guess i shouldn’t be surprised
Well there’s a lot of (well…a tiny amount of) fighting about what actually qualifies as shoegaze. Iirc it was actually a sort of diss term in the beginning.
Loveless by My Bloody Valentine is a 10/10. Got it on now.
Think long haired indy / early grunge types swaying and gazing at their shoes in wall of reverb and distortion
The term came about because the bands all spent their whole time on stage looking down at their huge array of distortion pedals, ie gazing at their shoes, or at least that’s what I read somewhere once
I’ve only heard a handful of Drab Majesty tunes but thought they were sick. Like a poppier Cold Cave or something.
They should collab with Jermajesty Jackson, he’s a freshly minted young adult preparing his music career to follow right behind his older brother Jaafar to take over the music industry
Got interviewed on a local radio about our local skatepark being refurbished. It’s all in French, might be a good way for @neddy, @BDF to practice their understanding of the language of love (scroll down to Réécoutez l’entretien complet avec François Grand, vice-président de l’ASSIR)
Any Leeds heads know much about the Leeds International Piano competition? GF sent me a link because seems a few years ago they put a load of piano sculptures around and skaters skated them, so they have done another sculpture this year for skating on, seems there might be an event or something, can’t tell from the link. But, that’s really cool, I have always thought that a grand piano top shape would be amazing for skating, even the shape inspiring one of these obstacle events that people do, adidas etc. Has that been done before?
Just really love the connection here though, a outlier branch of music not usually associated with street culture and skating.
Hit up Harry Meadley on insta - pretty sure he’s something to do with.
I think his @ is oldmanmeadley
Cheers man but not planning on going unfortunately, we have a gig in the peaks at some tiny hippy thing that day but I just thought it was cool and wondered how known it is.
Went to skate the curbs at Mandela Gardens the other day and there was a (non-skateable) piano dumped right in front of them, blocking them off.
There were other piano-based sculptures about but didn’t see any that you could skate, would be interesting to find out more…
