Have you got your train times sorted? Or your father in law on speed dial?
Staying in a hotel. Need to slink soon but tricky how to do it
Just French exit.
I made it. Back at the hotel having a coffee. No blowback on me in any way. Stoked.
Went out for a meal at a nice pub restaurant for ours this year. Few Peronis, few Aperols. Nowt daft.
We had some sandwiches delivered to a meeting room and the whole thing lasted about 20 minutes. Pretty much perfect.
I tried getting a bus home and had to get off because i thought i was going to spew. Been wandering around Bristol suburbs looking for a place to piss and get water.
Was supposed to start work at 9.
Got talked into entering a pool comp on Sunday. Some top level players in this, I’ll happily be cannon fodder for the experience.
Half way through the sentence I assumed you were a competent ATV then realised it was the tables, not the quarters
Ah yeah, no chance in a pool skate comp the skill gap would be infinitely wider than between the medalists and the South African dude in the Olympics.
Shameless plug!
Filmed a little Xmas horror short about an Elf On The Shelf.
It’s under 10 mins so give it a watch if ya bored!
My
Son bought one. This reminded me to move it tonight, which I’ve forgotten to do for a few days haha
did a silly movie quiz at work and the question was which park in Queens is featured at the end of Men In Black.
Boom; Flushing Meadows.
‘How the hell did you know that?’ etc
“Dude it’s cold out, I mean it’s California cold but it’s still cold.”
48 Fahrenheit = 9 Celsius
Whatever, Dad Board rules but this made me laugh.
I love skating when it’s cold outside, it feels so rewarding when you get back home after your sesh.
What’s too cold for you guys?
I’ve been when it’s about -7 outside (roughly the same inside the skatepark, if not colder (yes it happens)). You have to wear long johns, gloves, scarf, hat, and not stop skating the whole time otherwise you’re fucked.
Not a fan.
But you really get to see who the real skate rats are!
Used to skate that shit metal and tarmac skatepark in in biggleswade mid winter nights when it was frozen but the only place with lights. The double flatbar would freeze totally solid so you could lock in a smith/feeble at 2mph and glide for days and do mad frosty reverts after. Loved it.
-7 sounds pretty gnarly.
I’ll go for a skate if it’s 2 or 3°C or above and not too windy.
I hardly ever skate with long johns or gloves but a scarf and a beanie are mandatory if it’s cold.
