Really want to get a new car pre baby arrival, my Astra is 10 years old I don’t 100% trust it for long journeys these days which given we go from the Midlands to Cornwall to see family semi regularly isn’t ideal. Found a very good price on leasing a Kia Sportage and desperately trying to talk myself out of it as my wife keeps worrying about how out money will be while she is off on maternity. Imo there’s nothing to worry about and its the fear of the unknown for her in reality but I get her feeling that way. Not looking for any answers here just wanted to vent as I’m sat at work all day and all I can think about is getting the car haha.
Wait for the right moment and reassure her that you guys are safe and that you are gonna take care of your family, that everything is going to be alright. Simple things need to be said out loud sometimes.

The floor is basically dry and the sun is out for the first time this entire year. I can’t believe it.
It’s been nearly two straight months of daily rain. It’s really got me down.

Winter is dope but this winter was pretty shit indeed. We got mad snow here a week ago but otherwise it’s been rainy and cold which was rubbish.
Went hiking in the mountains this morning, it was pretty warm, had a fondue for lunch then a delightful nap in my hammock, it was warm (about 13 degrees I think), I was just wearing a t-shirt, birds were singing, my cats and hens were chilling next to me… Can’t wait for more days like this!

Had a chat after work, she got my points and raised a couple about some prep we need to do at home (all costed but not done yet) prior. Annoyingly I fully agreed with her points so looks like I’m getting cracking with some DIY this weekend so I am one step closer to the new car haha!

I just caught some of my students watching the Ginwoo part. I told them I was disappointed, they said “why? Is it the fit”, I said no it’s the self cheering, the fit is the least of his worries.
They had no idea what that means, or who Bastien Salabanzi is. End of the lesson they are getting an education.

Stoked: first bike ride since having surgery 3 weeks ago.
Not stoked: spent most of it looking for a lost puppy (not mine) in the woods and couldn’t find it. Might go back there early tomorrow, it’s killing me.
