Ok, so it was meant to the doodle that became that of course, like I said, a tall tale. and no proof.
I’m not saying it’s true, just that I believed him. Who knows where certain images come from before the are what they are. All we see there is a polished design. It may have been the first, we don’t know, the evidence says it is but Jagger could have said “make this into a printable logo for us dude”

He talks about the meeting and where the ideas came from, Jagger knew what he liked and had some of his own ideas but it was all from Pasche really. What is more likely is that before the internet these little harmless bs stories couldn’t be checked easily and why would most people as it’s an interesting story that makes the evening and conversation more fun? The people telling them just get use to getting away with it and no-one pulling them up on it, so just kept doing it even in this day and age.
That is very likely and the evidence points to it as fact. I still choose to believe his story personally, whether it’s because he was good at spinning yarn or was good at lying or whether I liked the guy and want it to be true because it’s cool. I dunno.
In the same way I can tell the story of Lemmy being my uncle. It’s not confirmed but it’s been told by a credible source but is no longer with us. There is no actual evidence unless the people in question know and want to do dna tests. Regardless, it’s a cool story.

Anyone else read this book? I just finished it a few months ago. Really great, kinda written in the style of a noir almost even though it’s factual events. Took him 15 years to write as he knew how important it was. The authors racial clumsiness and insensitivity lets it down somewhat, even making allowances for the time there are moments that I found hard to stomach, but it’s worth it for being such a great document of 1969.

Yeah. Those My Life As A Rolling Stone ones that were on the BBC were really great too. The Charlie & Keith ones especially. I like Charlie the most. Coolest geezer ever and his drumming really sets them apart. It’s not on the Iplayer atm but the Keith one is here. So good.
Yeah they were rad. I was surprised at how they all talked about just how fucked up they got and how much of a good time they had doing it - especially Ronnie - without any of the ‘by the way, drugs are bad’ stuff you would have thought the BBC would insist on

The ‘Stones In Exile’ doc is also a cracker, you’ve probably seen it @bacon seeing as you love Exile so much, if you haven’t it’s a must. Made me an even bigger fan of Bobby Keys and Nicky Hopkins than I was already

Need to inform our cleaning lady we won’t be needing her help anymore. I dont think she sees this coming even though our frustrations have been brewing.
Almost certain she’ll ask why and I really don’t want to list off complaints.
Anyone else been in this situation?
Just say you can’t afford it any more if you’re not keen on giving her the real message
