PR STUNT £££ - SKATER WITH OVER 10K FOLLOWERS ONLY

Agreed on the first part, I hope the park keeps going and I’d probably drink the beer if I saw it anywhere else. Whether they’ll still be around in a few years is anyones guess.

I’m probably never gonna agree with you on Palace, they never did it for me, the retro chav thing never appealed and while the skating in their videos is great the production style/music always irked me.

Anyway, I apologise for shitting on a perfectly good thread ragging on lame media twats with my blind hatred of Palace/half-hearted support of Hop King.
I await this revolutionary skate/bike/drift/freerunning/pogostick race with bated breath.

This is Cool

Palace was certainly not Retro Chav when it started, and it isn’t now.

I know they took the clothing away from skateshops in the end, but when we were ordering, way before Adi collabs etc (pretty SS20 catalogue was Palace first print ad.), there were amazing rip offs, and classic T’s. Not Retro chav.

Why is it cool to be over Palace?

You might not like the cameras they film on, but as @buildafire said, their skate content is fucking amazing.

I think one thing I definitely wouldn’t call Palace out for is their board graphics: Oliver Payne, Will Bankhead, Ben Drury, Ben Sansbury, Fergus… all cool as fuck.

Apart from the Bankhead ones they’re all shit though. Show me a good one, I’m skeptical.

Hop King are kooky, Palace is corny. The yin and yang of British skateboarding
