Shoes

Guy is such a fucking dick.

Deary, deary me.

So he was happy to use a skater’s name to promote the shoes and call them a designer at the time but not happy with that now?

Judging by the comments on that video it’s mission accomplished for Brian R3id.

The story BITD before it even became a thing was Mayhew had even less involvement than that. He was the last rider to turn up on the day, to pick a shoe from the new season line of shoes that had already been designed and all that was left was the D3 and he wasn’t over the moon about it.

I had a curry with Brian Reid in Bristol a few years ago when I had a little filming stint for Osiris. He was a sound geezer… but maybe that’s because he treated me to some banging food and plenty of beers?

By the looks of him he probably drugged you.

Can’t trust anyone with a hairline like that.

Mayhew didn’t sound like what I expected, or even like a real live person with real thoughts.

Fair play to Lucian, but no

Whatever your thoughts on the shoes etc. It’s wild they’ve signed him for his skating and given him a shoe. Banging to see Lucien come up like that. Remember when he was on Link for a short stint…

Who else that skated for Unabomber has designed a fucking LV shoe?

Obviously Channer did that Dior stuff and Hellicar had his Prada shoe, but LV is next level.

Better than supra

I was talking about shoes to a scaffolder from Worksop the other day and said that I wished Lucian had a shoe I could buy.

I skate his board but that’s like two a year.

Hopefully this isn’t too expensive. It’s really nice.

Just because it says Larry Venison on the tongue doesn’t mean it’s not ugly, like one of those comedy Es or DC zombie shoes they’ve resurrected.

Who will buy these? Hypebeasts? Anybody else?

Good for Lucien i guess but the whole thing is so cringe. The money table, skating in over 10k worth of LV clothes, like come on man, what is this? :joy:

The obsession with the fashion crowd some skaters have is really bizarre. That wouldn’t piss on us if we were on fire but just use skate culture for the look.

Okay buddy.

Why is it cringe? It’s fucking amazing. Same as Palace x Juve, Palace x Sun Pal etc etc.

Skateboarding going where it’s never been. The average skateboarder doesn’t have to buy those shoes. Lucien is going to making loot and that’s what’s dope.

Shoes not my cup of tea, but my ex’s mum was a Bursar at one of the Oxford Uni colleges. Dorms literally covered in designer clothing bags, shoes etc. Talking like easy £50k worth of loot in some students rooms. This will sell so fucking well. LV attaching on to a sub-culture. Same as Thrasher clothes - but obviously less people who will buy it.

Don’t think Lucien is obsessed with the fashion culture he skated for DVS ffs. Just embracing opportunities put him front of him, whilst still absolutely fucking killing it.

I doubt that, these have 100% been mentioned on this forum before as looking like a pair of rip off Osiris, except they cost £900

No one here has said anything bad about Lucian, no ones called him out or said he’s not ‘core’.

It’s possible to be be both stoked that a British skateboarder has an LV shoe with their name on and is getting paid for doing so, and also find the whole thing a bit silly

Why is it silly? Just the price, stinking shoe or skateboarding mixing with fashion labels.

Or all of the above, I find this stuff fascinating.
