Shoes

Ok I’m off back to bed, I have made everyone do a sick in their mouths.

I think I might have had some of those when I first started skating as a kid. I remember picking the most tech looking shoes I could find as I assumed they were the best. Had some massive fuck off globes in bright yellow with this big plastic Ollie patch on the side. I wish I could find a pic. They were basically military grade D3s. Lasted about a week.

Globe definitely had some over-tech shoes in the early 00’s, second only to DVS in terms of bulk. The Chet’s were abominations

I always wanted these Mullen 4/Tensor collabs, which in hindsight don’t look too bad.

They fully produce one of the old Chet shoes and another old Mullen model I think.

On amazon, where everyone buys their skate shoes right?

Surely Mr Thomas would not approve of those.

Well they look dreadful.

Finally got a chance to go triple denim.

While the sustainable thing is a good idea, they look much shoddier than the Janoskis and are irrelevant because you’re going to need to enter some kind of depressing raffle for the opportunity to fork out £90 for them.

I just can’t get with the dunk thing. THey look great in ads, on some people they look amazing and yet every time I am suckered into buying a pair I never learn my lesson I out them on and they look like dogshit. Does anyone else suffer from this?

Also possible controversial viewpoint here but I think they look so dated now

But yes I will probably buy another pair in a couple years time and things will not have changed

Got to try them on the first, they’re made from so many different materials that some releases look chunky and some look slim.

When you get them right they’re the best.

I bought a pair of Busenitz recently after lusting for a pair since they came out; had only just come to the point where I could justify the cost for a pair in the right colour. Looked absolutely ace out of the box, but my foot just ruined the shape of them entirely. They were comfy as well, but the top of my foot bulged the laces and tongue outwards and it was just a dealbreakingly bad look, they had to go back. I was gutted. I’d think Dunks would end up being the same.

Hasn’t happened for a long time, but only because it happened about five times in a row.

These new SB Dunks are as appealing as Nike 6.0 as. Same market by the looks of it too.

Doesn’t help that they are only available in the aforementioned depressing raffles.

Showing the monogrammed aglet rather than the actual build of the shoe isn’t very promising. Not that he’s ever had a good shoe before anyway.

Just had a look and their main thing is badminton?
Cocks.
