Shoes

Those Ellingtons would match a shell suit I had in 1990.

His first Emerica shoe was pretty good. You do get a better view of them here which doesn’t leave me feeling too hyped:

Looks as though he’s struggling to skate them in fact.

I use to like the sb dunk mids around 2009ish. Did seem like every 3/4 drop was a stinking colour and/or material though.

Yeah reminds me when footage of The Muska in the skytops came out. Instant get fucked

Ellington’s shoes peaked at the his first Emerica model, which I remember thinking looked slim and pointy at the time but now they’re probably massive. I bet some companies are gutted that their classics are attached to pro names and they can’t re-issue them via the fat shoe revival bandwagon.

‘Kids nowadays’ seem to think every rancid colour/material that appears every couple of weeks is as good as the Supreme cement was at the time, or as the first Staple pigeon was.

I remember the OG Tiff release so good. I have no interest in these new ones unless I got pair just to flip because they stink and wearing a £500 pair of shoes seems ridiculous.

I’ll keep skating Adi

One of the things that pushed me more towards Adidas and away from Nike were the materials they started using. I felt like the quality of Nike SB stuff has been on a gradual decline for ages.

In contrast I picked up some City Cups for £40 in a sale recently. Lovely leather, nice gum sole, cork insoles and regular ones included in the box. You’d never get near that with a dunk.

Which is mad because SB Dunks were the only way of getting ‘proper’ Dunk leather for a while. Then they took it to the ‘premium’ Dunks and left SBs to be made out of shitey 1% leather-effect plastic.

The more I see the better they look.

“Don’t burst your bubble, its time for some Axion.” is exactly the sort of total shit some company who knows fuck all about skateboarding, or the brand name they’ve just acquired, will always come out with.

Do any other skate shoes have air bubbles? Do they give you loads of pop?

I hope they do an edition that lights up like the old Cica lights

They just need Kriss Akabusi to promote them now.
