I quite like them, but the whole Common Projects/high-end basic trainers thing is dead to me. Why wear £200 trainers that look like £50 trainers when you could just wear £50 trainers?
The psychology of expensive skate stuff is interesting. It’s like ‘I want to dress like a loser skateboarder…but also I want people to know I’m not a loser skateboarder. So lets make really expensive loser skateboarder attire that subtly lets people know we’re actually rich and successful!!’.
Would Julian Stranger wear these?

I can’t afford them, but I also think they look like stinkers, so it’s win-win.

Not my favourite by any means but I think you could get away with those, the HRS things on the other hand are just toilet.
Everyone cares what Julien Stranger thinks surely? Julien, Natas, Gonz…and Brandon Murdoch…those guys invented skateboarding as we know it. Doesn’t everyone live their lives according to what those guys think? Or you think they think?

I hate to be that guy, but any help is super appreciated. Pretty much just used to skate Nike Blazer Mids because they were slim and had decent support, but I just went to buy a pair and found that they’re not making them in black. Im currently in a pair of Romero Laced, but Ideally I want something higher. Any recommendations for an old boy with bad ankles and knees?
Not nicest colour here, not sure if they do Black ones but a mates had these and liked them. Good study mid top with board feel

Could always spray them black. I still do that if I’m not stoked on the colour of the latest Accel Slims.

Don’t know if I have any at the moment. I had a few brown pairs I sprayed black. Happy with the red ones I have at the moment.
Sprayed out my board graphic too on the Habitat board I have at the moment.
Dye them. Mate got come cheap vans sk8 highs in tk max that were pink and dyed them black
To be honest, it’s difficult to see from this photo, but the shoes were light brown, and just a colour I wasn’t feeling (but they were the last Accelerate in my size in the country). Black laces and sprayed black, but not solid.
And I bought this Habitat board. Was feeling the shape, but not all the graphic, so I masked it off and blacked it out.
