Australia and surfing

I was in Aus a few years ago and Globe was still apparently massive over there especially in the beach towns

Yeah they’re huge in Aus

What I am saying is in response to you saying this:

The names mentioned after - Lavar, Antwuan, Wenning - were also all insanely good and stylish. But that wasn’t enough alone to for them and anyone else (including Kader) to…

Globe are doing really well. Always surprises me but I doubt much of their revenue comes from skate. At least, I just can’t see how…

I remember hearing they made an absolute fortune from those Penny-style Globe boards and it turned the company around a few years back. Maybe they were just smart with that profit.

Are you overlooking the fact that they own DSM? DSM is killing it worldwide. They make Palace decks which is probably good business right now.

Mentioned that when we spoke about this first time round. Owning the factory that makes most(?) of the globe’s skateboards must help for sure.

Yeah I don’t ride them but a lot of people do and if PS Stix and Generator are going to be £75 soon then I guess Chinese decks are gonna get even more popular. More good business news for Globe.

Got you.

I think he looks like he might be at a higher level maybe? He seems so good and he can go big too + transition.

If I did gamble I’d wager on him being SOTY one day.

They are pretty cool. Globe Finale was the Sidewalk collab.

I just wanted to contradict my own point yesterday about core shoe brands haha.

They are £30, I’ll run the Hi-Tec haha

Ah the Silver Shadows. The only trainer my Dad has bought/worn for the past 20 years!

We used to tease him about them, but now they look trendy!
