Shoes

Ah sorry didnt realise you meant specific pro designed chiller. Agreed, Jordans are Janoskis have been coopted but were both functional as basketball and skating shoes before chillers

I guess it depends on your definition of pro designed, if Greco does his range of image slippers and Ellington does his Hollywood nightlife collection I guess theyd count right? Assuming anyone buys them

They are quite pointed in the toe. Surprised me.
I had the OG ones years ago, but struggle to skate in cupsoles these days…so kinda need to avoid them otherwise would be into it.

Hi

Does anyone know what shoes Kein Lieu wore in Seven Steps to Heaven and whether or not they are still available? (3.50) Kien Lieu -Maple "Seven steps to heaven"(1996) - YouTube

He was on Puma, (or at least wore them a lot). He’s wearing Puma shoes and tees in the clip - that I didn’t look at too hard, but I’d assume that they were those skate specific Pumas that were about late 90’s-ish(?). There are Puma skate shoes about again ,(for better or worse). Maybe just get some Baskets/Clydes/States.

New shoes won’t help you skate like that I’m afraid.

Not those obvs, but stoked on this ad.

Was that his ‘pro shoe’? There were Puma ads around in mags back then, usually Donger featured but Dylan Gardener was on too at the same time, (I think). Scott Bourne had a shoe later on. Joey Brezinski was also hooked up by them. I think it was better when we were all buying Pumas for a few quid as bargain bucket leftovers in the early 90’s.

And then Alan Petersen.

Course he was. He’s got to be up there for having some of the worst shoe sponsors possible. You know its bad when Adio is a high point

Yeah but according to wikipedia he’s got a burrito sponsor so who’s laughing now

Judging by his shoe sponsor history his burrito sponsor isn’t going to be a cool little Mission District spot but more than likely Taco Bell :joy:

Yeah I googled them, it’s frozen burritos, I take it back.

They did have a couple of good shoes… or maybe it’s nostalgia kicking in?!

The Kenny Anderson was good at the time.

The first run of Kenny V.1s had gum soles.I’m a sucker for gum soles. I had a couple of pairs of those. Probably like low top moon boots to look at now though.
