Shoes

Yeah Ive just looked up the v1 which were the better ones. I got a pair for winning the Sidewalk letter of the month CMOAC

The first Sumner shoe was good.

The One Step Beyond era was probably the highlight generally for their shoes

I remember reading that Selego had only been skating for 4 years by the release of OSB, which always baffled me.

I won some Vans from BMX Action Bike at some point in the 17th century :grinning:

I used to write in every time I wanted new shoes, won it 5 or 6 times. Some of the shoes were a bit grim but it was worth the effort

Won some Lizard King Supra’s once from Sidewalk for a forum post or something? Last post? Weird shoe. The ex wanted to go see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Sunderland, so I ended up destroying them in the mud that was/is Sunderland’s footie pitch on their first outing.

Free shoes weren’t always as good as they sound. Amongst some of my freebies were a pair of silver, that’s right, silver Circa Muskas with the giant zipped tongue stash pocket those were never worn and I couldn’t even give them away. I got some of those helium filled Converse and a couple of pairs of those absolutely huge puffy Duffs which were totally unwearable- you could barely walk in them let alone skate. Also, Axion Nuteks which on the face of it sounds great. These were the only shit colourway though - black and white and they looked like these monstrosities

I wore them out the first night I had them and met a jazz saxophonist who thought they were dope and so I sold the very shoes off my feet for £50 and walked home barefoot.

not sure what’s more shocking about that story - jazz musicians looking for dope, or jazz musicians having money

Good I hope you fucked that pitch up real nice. They were the Passion right? Kind of booty looking.

Yeah, they had a weird flap thing on them. The pitch looked like Glastonbury ‘96!

Not sure whether to post in on/off thread but didn’t see this one coming and wtf

Bizarre.

My eS man dem, could one of you buy a pair of Eos, skate them and let me know how they are please. They look kinda thin

Will grab some today, will let you know.

It’s like anything goes now, what’s next? Tretorn? Ecco? Dr Martens?

He can sell his used shoes and tell people they’re new. Genius.

They are higher end fashion shoes that come pre worn. They look quite good but yeah, their whole thing is that they look pre worn.

Famously/infamously had these ‘pre-skated’ shoes a few years back for a reasonable £500.
How is this ‘your dream’.
