Shoes

I literally buy a 6.5 / 7 in everything. Should probably get my feet measured.

Measuring your feet can be as good as useless. It’s the natural development of each shoe (eg lasts used and materials used) that dictates how it will eventually fit. We all have completely different feet and whilst in the whole we can generally say size up or down for x model of shoe, it’s impossible to accurately advise someone of size.

Like skate shoes have to fit me bang on, but with everything else I can put up with them being a little snug. Air max 1s I can wear any model in uk8 but Adidas forums kill me across the toes in any size. Some Nike soles really stress my feet and are uncomfortable instantly as my feet don’t get on with the last used.

In short, no manufacturer will have perfect sizing (look at Nike when they reissued the huarache in 2014ish, had to go a full size up compared to exactly same shoe 10 years before) as it depends on manufacturing processes, materials and the mental looking feet we all have.

Getting any new shoe I’d buy 3 pairs, ‘my size’ plus one half a size up and down to get it bang on. Difficult to do though unless you are in a shop or have the luxury of buying 3 pairs and returning 2 every time

Just got the new Spanky shoe and the Wino Slip-cups. G6 sole on both, so I’m happy.

Slip-cups fit lovely, the Spanky’s are a touch higher than what I’m used to but have the neoprene style straps so all good.

@jon9981 @ihatethegeneralpublic they’re both great, very comfy.

Damn I’ll have to get a pair when the vegano ones drop.

I haven’t had a pair of Emericas since the Herman G6, so keen to give those ones a whirl. Got a good shape to them.

Been trying to get used to skating in these but it’s not happening. They feel great on a good day but on an off day, which is a much more frequent thing for me, they feel so ungainly. I think it might be the thickness of the sole. Back in the chiller pile.

I’ve skated mine a fair bit and I get what you’re saying, they’re clearly well made and will last a while but those soles are on the thick side. I like how grippy they are though.

Anyone I know who had some of the Lynx HE’s said they were amazing so it’s a shame DC don’t bring them back as I’m not sure about the Zero versions they do.

It’s like a cross between rollerblading, parkour, and looking like a bellend

Soaps for the modern age, remember how successful they were!

Funny, the colourway of the Spectre that he described with the red accents was the first pair of skate shoes I ever had as well

Gassed got a pair of the Polaroid Dunk Lows :tada::tada::tada:

jammy. Only pair of dunks I’ve wanted in ages, took the L on snkrs and various raffles. There’s so many ppl reselling dunks now though I’m fairly confident they’ll drop to near retail price soon…

I reckon you can get a pair for £140 on eBay. Was testing a few people earlier. I just wanted them to go with my VX Dunks

They kind of make me think of the Pride Flag more than anything to do with Polaroid.

Its Polaroid colours haha.

@tom.h are you in the Nike SB Collectors group on Facebook? If people sell new releases they have to be listed at retail.

Good shout, I’ll join in there. Few pairs on ebay popping up at 160ish, reckon after a day or two ppl will take some 130 offers

Yeah but it’s hardly a common place thing you see now-a-days is it? An almost defunct medium, compared to the Pride Flag?

New Nike model is supposed to be a skatable Cortez. It’s iffy but I do appreciate the way Nike SB keep to the tradition of churning out weird team shoes.
