Seriously SPOT? Collab with cariuma? Whatttttttt

Also if you wore them in 1993 you’d get laughed at

It’s just a beefier vans authentic

Cariuma have been the main sponsor of the Tampa contests for the past couple of years.

The first year, there was a lot of people ripping the branding off the walls.

Dare I say it, the smaller logo does look better. It still reminds me of a rib cage though

I’m pretty sure I read an article that said that the cupsoles are a much thicker sole with no midsole, so I’m guessing that’s why they’re feeling heavy?

Lol I mean do what you need to do but that press release is dreadful.
When the Swoosh money dries up I guess.

Still though - get that £

Imagine lasting 30 years and then having to celebrate with a Cariuma collab

That would make so much since, that’s exactly how they felt like nothing was there except the outsole and insole, like how vans are really bottom heavy they felt the same way but maybe worse, I wanted to like them so bad but it was a leg workout just walking around in them, if they found a way to lighten them up and get something in the mid sole area they would be much better

That sort of stitched on but vulc looking sole always gets this kind of look from me.

It’s all over the primark/H&M etc own brand “skate-style” shoes and it absolutely honks.

Not a pro shoe. It’s the 480

480 with Reynolds colourway. Yes it’s very like a dunk. It’s an older NB shoe that they’ve brought back. It was their first basketball shoe in 1983.

They look really good, people like to forget that Nike would’ve copied existing shoes in the past as much as any other brand. Not that I really dislike that in a shoe anyway, unless it’s way too blatant to the point where might as well get the original.

Yeah I like.

Something fun and semi-related that I learned recently: Michael Jordan is wearing New Balance (I think what’s now the 650) in the photo that’s allegedly the basis for the Jumpman silhouette logo.

It’s all in the film Air (with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck) came out recently if anyone’s interested in the history of trainers. Well maybe not the fact they were NB’s, haha.
But they needed the image before he unveiled the shoes and he had no actual shoe sponsor before Nike (iirc).
All trainers had to be white in the NBA back then too and Nike paid his fine in every game for having red and black on his shoe.

I think he means the ‘BOS’ at the end
