Shoes

I go one further and always opt for either the Spanky G6 or the Wino Slip Cup (basically anything with the pour in foam cupsole) and chuck in the G6 insole, too. It’s probably way too much for some people but I love it.

I like the new Figgy shoe, too.

The Bruin reacts? Surprised as this is possibly one of my favourite shoes ever. Skates amazing for me, and bomb proof. So gutted they discontinued them.

Adidas Alohas are the perfect shoe for me.

Very little break in time. Feel great. Feel like the love child of an accel and a busenitz.

Skated loads of Vans over the years, but got bored with the inconsistent quality.

Nike GT blazers are always a good bet too. I had some Bruins too at some point. Weren’t too bad.

Am on 6th pair of G6-Wino slip-ons. Found it hard to go back to laces with all the bending down and fiddling about.

I posted a lengthy list of all the shoes I’ve skated since 2004 I think probably a year or 2 ago now

If I remember right first ten years of skating was mostly in fallens, had more pairs then I could count and many other brands I was more into trying new brands and models then

Second ten years was Vans odd because I never considered myself a vans type of person they just somehow fell in my skate rotation each time

I never got free stuff haha closest I got to free shoes was when my homie was a manger at zumiez and would bring me all the throw aways (didn’t sell, slightly damaged, b grades)

Currently skating these and gotta be honest there the best I’ve skated in some time

The only reason I have ever veered away from Accels is because of deals (tried some stinkers because locals were given them) and accels not available.
Accel slims are the perfect shoe if you add/change insole. There are a few sole tech shoes I really liked when I couldn’t get accels. Etnies Runes, Raps, Es Eldridge.
I chill in some Bright orange NB epics and think that they are one of the prettiest shoes ever but a little thin on the toe for skating. They are pretty much buzenitz.

I’ve been impressed with the DCs I’ve skated recently, although the general level of bulk for the cupsoles would probably put a lot of people off. Suede Mantecas are just like a sturdy dunk. Considering theres loads of stress online about NB sizing, they’ve all been true to size and fit fine for me. Had some Busenitz recently and didn’t like them as much as I remembered from when they first came out, but thats probably more to do with me becoming old(er) and shit(er).

This is my experience with the Numeric stuff, but the NB running shoes I wear to the gym are pretty much only wearable with freshly cut toenails else the wreck me.

DC certainly understand their market.

I’ve seen a load of this from skate/skate adjacent brands in my inbox this weekend. Since when has this been a thing?

Nah it’s cool. Haha.

It was on a plane. Couldn’t use the table because we were about to take off

How the fuck have you got a pair of Lunar Gatos?

Bought them from tactics around 2019 for like $40
Been wearing them causally since and needed a new pair of shoes to skate, saw them sitting there and figured why not give them a shot best decision I’ve made in awhile just swapped the insoles and they were good to go

+1 on Lunar Gatos. When I had Nike discount I used to rinse the fuck out of them, great shoe.

It’s crazy how good they skate I’m hurt they don’t make them much anymore, they make non sb models I’ve considered but they don’t look like they would hold up as well as the sb model
My only complaint with them is the huge checks on the side and the Nike on the back but really I’ve gotten past that
