Yes both same size, maybe I just need to break them in a bit more. I’ve only worn them a few times

I had sort of the same issue. I got a pair earlier in the year and have only worn them a few times as the left shoe really rubs on the outside of my foot, whereas the right shoe fits perfectly.
I wore them walking around New York and by the end of the each day my foot was bleeding. Really annoying as Gilbert is a fav and the shoe looks really nice
