The thing that’s always put me off Reebok is the thin leather they use which seems to be super thin and ages terribly, glad those Heretic’s live up to the pics though!

The reebok workouts are not suitable for skating in, really crap leather, seams are shit. I have 2 pairs, white/gum and black/gum of course!

Are these two different shades of gum sole or is this a “is this dress blue/black or white/gold” situation? Am I just anal for thinking “this would look better with a darker/paler gum for the sole” on some shoes?
That is something that you notice a lot when you work in a shop. The shoes would come in and some brands always have the colours just slightly off. Sometimes it’s hard to put your finger on exactly what’s wrong, but other times you can put it down to the gum sole being too orange or something.
Lakai were terrible for this. They would put out nice looking shoes and then pick colourways that had one colour that was ‘off’ in some way and would ruin them.

The other thing I notice is white suedes massively varying from snowy white through every different shade of beige and light grey, some even getting peachy or yellowy. I always think it can’t be that hard to dye suede white.
Yeah definitely, same kind of thing, sometimes it just feels off and you wonder why they did it.
Last Resort’s piss yellow foxing springs to mind from recent releases. Why? Ruined it.
The other Chris Milic they did in white/gold was one of the top 10 shoes of the past few years, looked so banging.
All white shoes which are actually three shades of white dependent on material.
Yeah, annoying/weird, that.
Pre-yellowed midsoles fucking stink. When the midsole starts looking like that, that’s when the shoes need to be retired - and it yellows in storage, as well as in the sun. I’ve got BNOS shoes here that I can’t wear because the midsoles have gone off-white, and now shoes are actually being made like that… It’s like buying pre-ripped jeans.

I think the latter but I’d have to see them in the flesh to know for sure, the pictures are from two separate sites so could just be down to different cameras, lighting etc.

Never liked rubber toecaps, take away so much board feel on kickflips. The only one I accepted were Creagers because they were shallow and didn’t hinder feel.
The Reynolds one was similar, lasted ages as well.
