Shoes

Depends how many units Note bought really.

Full size runs on Flatspot FWIW.

Anyways, not trying to throw shade. Saw them posted on here but didn’t realise they were a skate specific footwear brand until I saw the Free Mag clip on Insta.

Not my cup of tea but I hope they do well!

Note had full breaks of these this morning. Mostly gone now. I think they might be the only UK store to stock them so we’re not talking mega numbers but still pretty good going.

It’s a niche brand and distribution is tight. I like that. Better than over producing and distributing and filling the sales racks.

Tom Asta making those new John Dilo shoes from Hours look good. I do like a nice mid-top.

I thought Hours was just Bryan Herman’s weird fancy dress shoe side project, I didn’t realise they actually made skate shoes too, all their other shoes are a bit wank. Nice to see a fully skater owned shoe company though. £75 isn’t too bad these days though I guess.

What a heartbreaking sentence.

Why? For something you wear a lot? That’s fuck all now

The history seems a bit shaky. IIRC correctly Ellington and Herman started it as some fancy shoe/skate shoe project. Lucien and Rory were involved on some level. Then it went very quiet from the get go and seemed to split in two companies that had no link to each other but basically the same name. Hours Is Yours being Herman’s skate shoe brand and HRS being Ellington’s “high end” should brand.

“Fuck all now” is the point! Remember how we took the piss out of £80 but now that’s normal? It shouldn’t be normal. I know this seems very “naive man discovers inflation for the first time” in tone but it’s fucked how much costs have gone up. “Luxuries” like clothes and shoes that you actually want to own has comparatively gone up slowly compared to the cost of “heating and eating” but it’s still absolutely fucked.

£80 hoods yer, but skate shoes have always been spenny

Yeah Muska éS were what BITD?

Es Schemes were close to £100

Remember when you could buy a can of Coke, a Bazooka Joe, a Black Jack and 10 Mojos for 20p?

Koston talking about Kareem getting the 95s in Northampton.
This doesn’t seem right to me. The first 95s were impossible to get so for them to be just sitting in a footlocker doesn’t add up.
I might be misremembering.

You forget that Northampton is the centre of the universe

They’re getting hyped really hard by tons of good shops so I’m assuming it’s owned by someone cool.

the thing that blows my mind is that an average house like mine is worth quarter of a Million. Listen to how that sounds. A bang average semi is worth quarter of a million!
Buying a house is a total swizz now. None of these new houses are going to be standing in 100 years and most houses are falling apart and mouldy and yet they just keep going up and up in price.
Bonkers.

anyway, shoes… as you were.
