Shoes

That’s nice. They still look like shit

Reading that, whilst living in one of the stupidest property markets in the world, sounds cheap. Which is probably the point you’re making.

You’d hate to see what the equivalent of £250k would get you in and around Melbourne.

The pull straps on those climbing shoes are so weird. Maybe it’s a climbing shoe thing.
I could never deal with those, I hate it when my pants don’t fall over my shoes properly, especially on the heel, I even get rid of the checkerboard tags on Half Cabs in order to avoid this.

Dude went as far as trying to skate like Dilo for this review, pretty rad.

not sure what point i’m making apart from that houses are fucking expensive and yeah, people just accept it.

Clarks used to make skate shoes

Deary me, that’s just ridiculous.

Need a new pair of casual runners… anybody got any good recommendations on this front?

Replacing a pair of New Balance 990v6 fwiw.

I’ve been looking at some on clouds the last few days, anyone any experience? Other than lots of Michael Fabricants also wearing them.

Re: Villager shoes

Straight in with the silver trend.

I’m a big fan of Karhu - I’ve a couple of pairs and they’re hands down the most comfortable trainer I’ve ever worn.

They do actual technical running shoes too if that’s what you need, but the Legacy 96 is a really nice chiller/casual shoe. Got some sick colours too (but no silver)

NB 1500s, had them years and so good.

Love Karhus, not had a pair yet

I’ve only had one pair but the stitching on the toe cap came out and it wasn’t glued underneath. I know they’re not a skate shoe and I may have done a kickflip or two in them but I wasn’t impressed by the quality at the price.

I’m guessing you find them ok and have stayed away from kick flipping in them?

NB 1500s last forever but I don’t think they’re the most comfortable NB. I like NB 580s and I know some other skaters who do too. It’s quite wide fitting and has a thick and tall heel that is pretty soft and it helps relieve ankle and foot pain particularly if you’ve had any plantar fasciitis type of shit.

I’ve found them really good, I wouldn’t question spending £100 on them personally. Tbf my first pair I only wore for nice occasions so I probably extended their lifespan.

Only thing I would say for me, is that while they say they’re true to size, I sized down a half size on my second pair and they fit much better.

Yeah big shout for Karhu, great chillers

Silver or not, these are a hard pass. Just no.

I’ve tried loads of different running shoes but if I can’t be arsed choosing something I always just go to Nike Vomeros, they’ve changed a lot over the years but always been good everyday runners.

ASICS Gel- Lyte V are super comfy. They’ve got a sort of sock liner and fit really nicely. Same goes for ASICS Gel Kayano Evos.

I had a bit of a thing for Diadora N9000s for a while too.

I loved my first pair of Karhu Fusion 2.0s and they were up there with the ASICS for comfort, maybe even a little more comfy was my initial thought so I bought two more pairs of the same model. Both pairs fit differently and felt stiffer and never really broke in. Plus the build quality was a bit sketch in comparison with my first pair. Given them a wide berth since.

Despite what I’ve said I’m in New Balance like every other fucker. Can’t really go wrong with NB runners.
