There’s definitely a market for his board reissues and he seems self aware enough that he knows it’s not the young kids buying his stuff, it’s the middle aged dudes with the spare cash.
I’m sure these will sell well enough but can’t imagine they’ll sell out, unless he’s only ordered like 200 pairs. £400 is a big ask even for die hard fans. Half that, maybe.
I nearly bought one of those signed hand boards he was doing, just never pulled the trigger
£200 sounds mad to me too, but these will last you years they’re the most solid shoe NB make. I’ve got a pair that are still going strong from the last time they released these which would be maybe 2018?
Ex Lakai too I believe and worked on Westgates 508 shoe as well. Which is a really good skate shoe imho.
Whatever, rambling, cool story etc etc
Had some black/gum 440 V2 delivered yesterday from Note. Nice shoe, looking forward to skating them once my current 508s are done. I did try looking about for something not NB# but aside from Busenitz cup there’s nothing that is doing much for me from a functional skate shoe perspective.
I hate skating in vulcs and can’t skate in bigger shoes.
Enjoying the nerd fest about the new Reynolds shoe. Seems like everyone just wants the 1010, but different. Tiago tried to make a 1010 of his own with the 808, which was a fail, Too hard too heavy. Seems like Reynolds is also a 1010 fan who is trying his luck with his own version.
Seeing Seb Palmer and Reynolds working together is cool. They are probably as picky and tweaked on details as each other. Seb has always been so fussy about everything he’s the perfect guy for the job.
