I don’t think he would have skated any samples because he wasn’t even on New Balance until the shoe was virtually finished.
He’s probably always a season or twos colour ahead with what he’s skating.

It’s so sick that he does “Reynolds tricks” trying the new Reynolds shoe and “Dilo tricks” trying Dilo’s shoe! Back when most of us were kids people that good at skating were often cool guys and seeing Tom Asta being that good and such a skate rat/nerd is pretty heart-warming.
I think the shoe looks pretty good in this review, better than in most photos I’ve seen. I could see myself getting a pair as chillers but I’m quite vulc-for-life when it comes to board feel. This colourway is rad, I love and green and black shoe.

One of these nerds might clarify this but surely the vibram sole is pointless as only the front ball of your foot is getting the full effect? Your heel is just flapping about.

In proper skate shoe news, I got to try on the Reynolds today and was surprised to find that they fit me. Half a size up on my normal size seemed right. Sole feels very supportive on the heel, they’re really solid and a good shape. I reckon they’re gonna be pretty popular.
Hoping NB stick to their guns and start doing more wide fitting shoes like they’ve said they will. I might be able to size down a half if they do.
