Shoes

Thank God for Klarna

I can’t really afford them at the moment anyway, but I’m waiting for the all green ones

Ahh now the non-stop videos on how great they are make sense.

We sold so many pairs at SS20, literally anything Dylan would fly.

Remember the Reider boots?

Yeah I don’t really care if it’s got a pros name on it either, the point I was trying to make is that I enjoyed seeing Reynolds work with Seb and Jeff to create his pro shoe.

I know Tiago didn’t co-create the 1010, and I know he worked with them on the 808.

I hope the Reynolds shoe will be a success because I like the process that NB go through and it’s a shame that the 808 (in its current form) hasn’t really been a hit.

That’s mental.

Oh yeah, don’t get me wrong, I like nothing better than seeing some skaters getting nerdy about shoe design. Hats off to the boss for getting stuck in.

Why? There were loads of good Dylan shoes

We talking about the same pixie slipper joints?

Expensive at face value but if they last, maybe worth the outlay. Personally - a good 4-5 months skating them at £120 and I’d probably be happy and see them as fair value for money. Under 3 months and I’d be a bit gutted.

Anyhow I think the grey look great in the newer advertorial videos/pics and on foot and I’m looking forward to seeing a KCK style black/gum colourway because I’m boring. The sea salt off white suede that NB have on some shoes would be nice, maybe on a gum sole.

There was always someone after the Dylan shoe. Definitely marmite but it had its fans. When they stopped making them you’d get the hardcore addicts asking if you could still get any from the distributor.

Same. I liked the 808 but ended up walking the dog in them and they never broke in so they never saw grip tape. They’re knackered now and still as stiff as they day I got them (which in many ways is great…).

As well as employing rape-apologist Mark Oblow, Gravis.2 have got a Japanese Dylan.

I think it could be a tough sell at £120 (was originally gonna be £130) but if it achieves what Reynolds is aiming for with giving older skaters a new lease of life it’ll have its fans. Hoping I’m gonna be one of them!

The reason for the pricing is because it includes tech from the 990 shoe range which are now £200+ a pair. NB has pitched the price accordingly.

Tariffs too, presumably.

Prices were set before tariffs were announced though…and they’ve come down a tenner. We were told that the price was due to the use of tech from shoes higher up the range.

I couldn’t get used to them either. They have that sole that’s got a stiff middle almost like a soap shoe. Some people do love them though.

Shout out Fazza

Yes we are haha
