When I need a reminder of why the world is going to hell, I’ll remember there’s a market for those and understand.

I keep reading that Nike is losing market share because Hoka and ON running etc

These 2 brands make the UGLIEST shoes I’ve ever seen I see them everywhere

Crocs kind of became really popular for being ugly but comfy

Do people really think these look good or are they that much more comfy or better for running that they live with the ugliness

I’ve seen plenty of people wearing them as chillers too

Someone explain this to me

ON are massive is the states.

Seems to be on most norms and the alo types.

Hoka are suppose to make amazing running shoes that fit really, really well and since everyone does hero runs and Hyrox these days, I can see how both could be hurting Nike. Also Nike make mostly stinkers that only 8 year old boys like these days.

The same people who wear these are the same Michael Fabricants that wear those shite massive Apple headphones and tug off Steven Bartlett

Speed Loafers.

What a world we live in today.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

This whole weird culture is the absolute worst

Analysing every single decision in all aspects of life

They’re going to look back and realise they spent 20 years going to the gym every day and trying to grow their investment portfolios with perfect strategy and wearing shit shoes all because everything was mathematically or scientifically the correct thing to do or they heard it on a podcast

They’re going to realise it wasn’t fulfilling and they should have started a family and spent time being spontaneous and eating pizza because they felt like it instead of drinking a Huel and logging the size and frequency of their turds or whatever they do to optimise their miserable existence

@hugo apparently Nike got a new CEO a few years back who’s whole strategy was to go direct to consumer. This meant focussing on their own website and pulling the stock from retail giants like JD and foot locker. This freed up space for hoka, on, nb, ASICS, etc and all the other brands that have suddenly become popular.

This has proved disastrous (hence their cratered stock price) and now they are pivoting back, getting old hires back to try to repair the relationships with all the high street retail stores.

Absolute shit show. Will take them years and years to come back from this (if they ever do).
